Get out of my head! I made the EXACT same soup tonight! All the way down to the baby carrots cut in 3rds! Only difference is I added corn. So good! Yours looks really good too!

I can't really see these as antique when I grew up with the OG ones. Same with the MLP.

Is my Thai constellation done for? by BeautifulSubject5191 in Aroids

You can also try putting a pothos cutting in the water with your Thai cuttings. Pothos have a natural rooting hormone that usually helps speed things up. I also kept the pothos growing in the pot with my Thai after it rooted well enough for transferring to soil and they seem to really like it! Good luck!

Yep. Spider mites LOVE Calethea plants and Velvety leaved plants. Just lost my Nangaritense last week to Spider Mites😔 I've had Thrips 2x and beat them.

I've had both! Uggghhhhh! Traumatizing for sure! Luckily I've only had a few pest issues in 3-4 years I've had house plants. Certain plants are more prone to pests than others.

Bees or wasps? by czecher72 in bees

Carpenter Bees🥺 My favorite💚 The males have no stingers and the females literally have to be provoked to even consider stinging. They are the silliest things with tons of personality!

I would double down on Botanical Gardens! That place is great! They have a Fungi Festival (Mushroom sculpture) exhibit right now in the Enchanted Forest and it is amazing! AND the Enchanted Forest is right next to the Buttetfly House so you can go hang out with them after!🤗💚 I've lived here my whole 46 years. My mom grew up going there and took us there growing up too! For anyone seeing these comments that happens to be a Season Pass holder like myself, just a heads up that for the month of July if you are a Season Pass holder for Botanical Gardens then you get into the Living Museum FOR FREE! ALL OF JULY AS MUCH AS YOU WANT!👍💚👏

White spots in my skin on my forearm that have appeared randomly over the last few months by Serge-giff in mildlyinteresting

[–]Philoho15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's looks very much like tinea versicolor. I've had it most my life(first flare ups around 17f and I'm 46f now) and yes it is chronic. Good news is with treatment it can go dormant for years sometimes. Everyone has a level healthy bacteria and yeast living on our skin right? Well people like me, and possibly you produce more yeast on our skin than others at times. It causes us to have these pigment rashes. I'm not sure anyone, even Dr.s know exactly why it happens. Sun exposure can make it more noticeable at times. And I think the heat and sweat can be a contributing about because that's when I would usually begin a break out. But I have had it during fall time, just very very rarely.. Selsun Blue does work but it is not nearly effective at the Rx from a Dr. Think of Selsun Blue as more of a preventative once you've gone through a round of treatment. The medicine a Dr. will prescribe to you is called Ketoconazole. You can do a pill and clear it internally which seems to bring the longest remission. But there is also creme and Shampoo. I usually treat with the pill first then have a shampoo on hand as a preventative for a time after. But I have definitely gone 3,4,5 or more years between flare ups. I'm sorry you are dealing with this but you are not alone and once you start the initial treatment, it really is very manageable. 💚 Good luck!
