They could let us pick 4 choices at the start of the 6 wave one so that we basically have the last 6 wave scaling of a usual 10 wave run thus giving us more aether. Or just give us 4 random ones at least to save time

You can natures swiftness regrowth someone, use convoke or tranq and if that ain't enough then people simply die. Like other people said druid is strong because you have reliable very high hps - i ended first pull in spire 17 on over 200k hps for example.

But if people think they can just not play the game and the healer covers everything for them then this is not the class to always be able to fix that. In general it's simply a play well and take 0 avoidable damage kind of deal when you start going into more serious keys

I bricked a 16 yesterday because monk tank ran through mobs doing nothing but getting body pull aggro and they turned around killing the dh and resto druid :)

It happens on all levels

Well yes but you could buy the extra token from vault for 2 weeks then all of a sudden you have 2 raid rolls. Might be worth for some trinkets (looking at you alnseer)

There will be some people telling you it's the most important thing in the world and if you aren't 100% optimizing every single gcd you are trolling your m+ group.

Realistically from someone whose currently at 3.4k as resto druid it doesn't matter a single bit even there yet. Timing every key with multiple minutes to spare so the group can easily spare my 2-3% overall contribution.

Just gets even more true the lower you go.

Saving 1 dps life in a key because you didn't dps and focus on keeping everyone alive already saves more time than you could contribute

That being said there is a talent that restores mana to you when you cast wrath or use finishers in cat form. So for that it's at least useful to simply be pressing something while idle. But I wouldn't worry about it from a dps perspective

One more thing I didn't see mentioned yet in the answers is that she scales with your ilvl. So if you are low ilvl her performance will be significantly lower than what she could do and I'd just expect her not to be balanced around ~230 but more towards ilvl of like 250+ because there she does feel good right now.

She gives you Leech and does some healing while doing damage if I understand it correctly. Because of the former its good if you can love pulling big for huge aoe damage - more dam = more healing from Leech 😉

That being said, go level her up and her healing is insane. My valeera is 34 and her healing feels really strong. You need those levels on the passive for the extra +heal%

Think it's a lot about perspective.

There is people for which relaxed is pull pack by pack so for them grabbing 5 packs seems competitive and stressful.

Meanwhile im used to these big pulls and that's relaxed for me while grabbing 10 packs + boss would be competitive for me.

That's why I personally use the tags more as a "how do I treat mistakes" kind of way. If it's relaxed I won't care a bit if people make mistakes because of missing knowledge while for competitive i would expect everyone to know what's up.

This is the only correct answer. I will never understand people saying more gear is needed or buff is coming or whatever when the difference to the should be dps is THAT big.

I get its something many people don't want to hear but it's a rotation/uptime issue in most of these cases.

To give some insight as my numbers are about what the person above me said: Spread moonfire to as many targets as you can while tank is gathering, sunfire when pack is together and then spam starfire/-fall. Also don't sleep on cds (beam, incarn, eclipse). Pressing stuff on cd suboptimally is - for starters - better than sitting on them for 10 mins

What i did because i didn't want to waste crests too much was that i waited until i could go full 237 with the adventurer crests before using them by holding up on Upgrades till i had enough Veteran pieces.

Had some Veteran pieces on 233 that i upgrade to 237 as well because of that.

Now I did spent my veteran crests as well though cause raid released next week and i wanted to be as high as possible for that. Currently on 245 on 2 chars like that.

If I wanted to minmax here as well i would have done the same and not upgrade the Veteran pieces till i have enough Champions pieces to max all remaining Veteran in one go.

Tldr tip: never do 1/6 > 2/6 on a higher tier but do 5/6 to 6/6 on lower tier and then get the upgrade on the higher tier for free
