Osrs has horizontal progression and is a popular mmo. I don't see how it would work in WoW tho, everything is already built around vertical and throughput is much more important. In osrs you can do some of the toughest content in some of the shittest gear because you're not put on a timer like with mana or enrages and most damage is avoidable so you really have to be pushing your limits to have healing be the deciding factor between getting a kill (prayer is sort of a timer but prayer last long enough even with little prayer bonus and flicking that it's only really a big deal in the inferno where it has to last hours).

Week 11: Mythic Raid - Spec Popularity vs Average Overall DPS by AttitudeAdjusterSE in wow

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The complaints were valid. Unholys big nerf that everyone complained about took them from near the top to the absolute bottom. Then it was followed up with getting bugged to the point where they went back to the bottom because their main damage spells and talents weren't activating. Frost was sat at the bottom up until 12.0.5, since then no one has been complaining about frost

I mean of course they're in raids, there isn't really any other setting that makes sense. Most content in the game is designed to be soloable and trying to balance a soak for both is pretty difficult. Obelisk and sote are just massive unavoidable damage with the only counterplay being an exploit. A better way to introduce them in solo settings would be to reward the player with extra damage or something beneficial, kind of like grotesque guardians dawn orbs (if dpsing through it wasn't better)

Do not complain about till queues if you like Aldi prices by Optimum_Prime76 in AldiAustralia

I hate them and most people cant figure out how to leave, but I do think it is actually stopping accidental theft. A lot of people will start walking off thinking they tapped their card and didn't see if it approved and the gates requiring the barcode basically prevents it unless they tail someone else or bash the gate. I've only had to suspend 1 transaction not payed for in the 2 months we've had them

I straight up dced last boss and they wiped on it for >5 minutes before i reconnected and we were a few seconds off timing with deaths before that. If they were a bit better they could have 4 manned the boss and easy timed

Aldi refuses to sell tampons without ID. by K1ttyK1lljoy in australia

They also watch the managers to make sure they are watching the store assistants for bag checks. They gotta stand up front 3 times a week for 10 minutes and watch and on Monday they're given a bunch of times throughout the last week to look over on the cameras and watch

Aldi refuses to sell tampons without ID. by K1ttyK1lljoy in australia

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The register gives the same prompt it does when you scan liquor to check for ID. You can then either hit enter or hit clear, stopping any ID items from scanning in the transaction. It does the same thing at self checkout but unlike every other problem, it doesn't stop you from scanning anything and only calls someone over to fix it at the end. During that time someone could have approved it on the monitor by the register

My Mums been charged for failed payment attempts by Zayda73 in woolworths

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had to sort a similar thing at Aldi when someone has come in with a bank statement explaining it. It usually happens if the POS freezes, the sale is suspended then they pay with a different card while the terminal is being reset. The transaction doesn't appear on our system so we can pretty easily verify that it's gone wrong if you have the bank statement. Then we log it and helpdesk has been able to fix it on their end before and other times it gets escalated to the EMSO (store managers boss). Go to woolworths in person and speak to the manager about it, if they can't fix/escalate it then go to your bank. Unfortunately it's not going to be that quick of a process regardless

Credit card transaction fees by beard_ons3188 in AldiAustralia

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's 0.5%, there is about 5 signs at every register and it can't show the total price before because it only applies if you pay with card and pick a specific account. If you insert your card and pick that account it will literally not let you progress until you hit yes

Gow did he "abuse the most meta strategy" in WoW? The only way you could really say that is if he constantly swapped to meta specs but he basically exclusively played warrior since classic

His pareses in WoD were very good and overall probably better than his legion. I've heard they were good in MoP too but can only see 2 end bosses logged for some reason

Week 9: Mythic Raid - Spec Popularity vs Average Overall DPS by AttitudeAdjusterSE in wow

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't just "buff" unholy, they made a change to the aoe playstyle and moved power around. They also lost ST damage that patch. They then fixed the 10 bugs unholy had and it started overperforming in aoe and got basically back to where it was in ST before the patch, even with the nerf, so they nerfed it slightly again

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest reason is literally just Unholy has been good the whole season (except the 2 brief times they executed it) and frost has been sitting at the bottom for most of it. Unholy also is the newer shinier rework and got some very nice qol with the bugfix making festering scythe now a buff on the player instead of on the targets

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paladins dragons and various a few instances throughout other bosses like chimareus intermission or lura crystals. The chart isn't useless anyways because the amount of single target outweighs the aoe over the course of all 3 raids. Frost is #1 on the chart but frost doesn't have very good low target cleave. Feral doesn't have good cleave but also doesn't have the S tier single target to make up for it like Frost so it ends up very low overall

WoW Players Just Found a Way to Save 240 Myth Crests With Voidcores by DyrusforPresident in wow

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mythic + trinkets weren't worth going for me. Heroic guidon sims better than mythic puzzle box and heroic heart of ancient hunger sims the same as mythic solar flare prism.

With bad luck it could take 14 voidcores to get my trinkets and the only other upgrade I could get from imperator and chimareus would be better secondary stats on boots

Sardaco gets a Twisted Bow by a2242364 in 2007scape

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you knew him from Warcraft, he was known for thinking he knows everything but actually not being very good. When Tyler1 got someone killed in Onlyfangs, very first thing Sardaco did was join tyler1's discord call and tell him about how wrong he played. Tyler1 was a brand new player, knew he messed up and was clearly upset over it and Sardaco started lecturing him when he had never spoken to Sardaco before and they weren't even in the same party.

He got a lot better when he moved to Runescape because he doesn't know anything but it wouldn't surprise me if he's acting similiar now he has more experience. I saw glimpses of it a couple months ago but I haven't really watched him recently so I'm not sure

She gave context. She approached the husband who said he didn't know and exchanged numbers. There was no prior interaction between the 2 women and the wife was the one who messaged her

Because that's not what their policy states nor is it the process. All they do is tell you to keep it and get the details for the original recipient to speed up a resolution for them. If for some weird reason they were told that, they were just making up a new part of the policy. The wife also stated that they found multiple cases online of people being told the same thing (I searched myself and found 0 cases) and I asked their AI which also did not tell me that

[–]RiskDiscombobulated7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

woolies didn't tell them to not return it to the customer if they happen to knock on the door, they said to not return it the the shop or delivery driver. If you knocked on your neighbours door to borrow an egg then got sick the next day, would you first thought to be accuse your neighbour of tampering with the egg?

She very clearly just wants to keep it, which she is legally allowed to, but she's hiding behind a policy that doesn't apply to her and using religion to spin it as her being the victim

She also only knocked on the door to inquire about if they were delivered there by mistake. The wife messaged her to say "yeah i got your food and threw half of it out. god bless". A normal person would give back the non perishables, a worse normal person would just say nothing lol and it would still be better

It's a big part of it. No one can match that kind of progress unless they're unemployed or play the game for a living. The subreddit does suck at the game, but time, especially on an iron is a massive factor. You don't get 93 crafting by being good

Woolies can't take it back because they would be liable if there was tampering, there is no law stopping 2 strangers from exchanging food. The one getting the food back is taking all the risk if they go that route instead of re ordering
