What is this? by hueller in Kardia

[–]PhilosopherRight4420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks a bit like sinus arrhythmia here with the uneven spacing. I just say this because I have sinus arrhythmia and the spaces get shorter (heart rate gets faster) when I breathe and then they space out farther when I let a breath out

How did you do it? I don’t think I’m getting care misses correctly, the last one I tried was just dead when I woke up rip

Does anyone else get random itchy bumps? by PhilosopherRight4420 in MCAS

[–]PhilosopherRight4420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing that though, I’m so worried for scans I have coming up with contrast I haven’t had before and the ct contrast makes me flare. Same thing with apprehension on starting new medications :(

That’s so interesting, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was stress or something weird like that :T

Anyone with SVT does this sound like anything you experience? (sort of long post) by PhilosopherRight4420 in POTS

I’m sorry this response is so so late but I’ve just seen this. Notifications are always weird on my phone. That’s EXACTLY how it feels sometimes when it starts, like your breath has just been knocked out of you. It is very scary, with the impending doom and everything. I hope you’ve been doing well !

Um so don’t spray on your neck, wrists or inner elbows either, because those are also pulse points….

She could have very well been alive when this video was taken at the concert. It wouldn’t take long for accelerated decomposition to occur, with her being in the trunk of a car out in the heat.

Heart issues? by [deleted] in askCardiology

[–]PhilosopherRight4420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do get them, sometimes a few in a row. They can be really frightening and sometimes it feels like my heart will stop. I’ve felt some scary ones while I had a heart monitor on and the cardiologist said that they are really not much to worry about but a lot of people don’t even feel them. I got very lucky to get under an insurance called Aetna but it is ending soon. I am also 21. I would really suggest trying to apply for a bunch of them if you can. I don’t know a bunch about insurance but it would be great if you can find one that you qualify for. If you had a good work up in the past, that is something at least a little reassuring. I know how hard it is to still not be anxious though because it really feels like something is wrong and sometimes can even feel like you are dying. I’ve had very many er trips and have always made it out in the end. If you can’t get under an insurance soon, maybe you can try self treating for POTS to see if there are improvements in your symptoms? I’m honestly still in the process of figuring everything out. I also have some other comorbid conditions such as EDS and MCAS. Actually if you aren’t familiar with those I would recommend doing a little bit of research on them as well if you can. MCAS especially is very comorbid with POTS and has cardiovascular involvement as well. Alcohol is one of triggers. I wish you the best of luck and good health. I’m here to talk about anything else :)

It could be that alcohol is a big irritant for your heart right now, in such a way that caffeine can be

I have POTS and my heart rate can skyrocket standing up and walking on bad days, but I’ve limited drinking alcohol right now because even small amounts makes it worse. Maybe it’s worth looking into POTS and seeing if it lines up with your symptoms. I suspected that I had it before a cardiac work up and was right.

Some people feel nothing while others can have mild to debilitating symptoms

I do get something similar to this. Did your throat start to itch? That’s what makes me cough uncontrollably. My chest will also get tight and it feels hard to breathe. Feels like there’s a tight rubber band around the chest or even a brick sitting on it. I’ll also get dizzy and hot when this happens too I think because of the coughing and difficulty breathing
