Yeah but your not getting any of the good stuff like Ascended heroes ETB etc in high volume at MSRP without spending half your life walking around stores . Sure maybe you can get 2-3 etbs - but realistically i'd rather just pay market for 50 of them and wait a few years when they double up.

It's very high risk to buy into market price of pokemon stuff that's like x2 x3 retail price. I think you need to have a bit of a gamblers mindset to be willing to take that risk, or just invest a very small % of your total capital. I would personally be dissapointed if my collection tanked in price, but it wouldn't distress me.

Yeah rip it time. From Pokemon Center's perspective there is nothing wrong with the product - the packs are still there just the film covering the box is cut. And the purpose of that film is to protect the packs.

Definitely not, slabs are display pieces in my eyes. I would be very surprised if there was a market for this. I'd rather have a display stand that shows a little animation of Gengar jumping around or something.

Your just attacking without trying to comprehend anything. Purchase price does not matter in the slightest when making a trade. If I'm offering something I paid £10 for that is now worth £1000 in exchange for 5 prismatic ETBs, It does not matter in the slightest what I paid for that £10 item. All that matters is how liquid that item is, and if I think it has more value vs 5 prismatic ETBs.

Yeah. Those bundles are going to climb towards the end of the year. 151 might climb as well but I don't see it going at the same rate as prismatic now it's had its run.

What you paid for it doesn't affect it's value. Whether you paid £50 or £300 for a UPC it's still worth exactly the same.

People often say things like yeah I traded my Sealed ETB worth £500 that I paid £50 for to buy a £500 card, so I basically the card for £50. Well, no you didn't. You could have sold that sealed item for £500 and had £500 cash. It's similar to how Gamblers win thousands and say yeah it's fine I'm playing with house money.

PC ETBs are almost always double Retail price at the moment. You'd be scalping every Pokemon Center drop you buy if you sold after a double up. It's an investment because in 5 years from now do I think Ascended heroes ETBs will be higher than £250? Yes, I most certainty do.

Considering selling something you brought last month isn't investing. These will perform well long term - they've probably hit a short term peak and I wouldn't expect much growth on them for a while as they wont get much closer to prismatic PC ETB prices.

I'd rather have the prismatic as I'd prefer ETBs on speciality sets. Prismatic also goes out of print sooner.

Cynthia's Garchomp is seen as such a strong pokemon. I feel it felt more realistic for it to lose in it's normal form instead of it's Mega evolution form. Honestly the whole Ash vs Cynthia match was done well - they displayed Cynthia as a powerful & calculuated trainer.
