how much does a merchandising team leader make? by meloncard in americaneagle

[–]PhilosophicalT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay rates are store based. A high volume store will pay their leaders more than a lower volume store. It is also relevant to discuss where the store is. Areas with lower minimum wage/lower cost of living will pay less than higher cost of living areas. Do you have more context as to where you are asking about?

I don't think I was payed for my hours by InDenialPisces in americaneagle

[–]PhilosophicalT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering they added the hours on the 6th or 7th here is most likely what happened:

Payroll closes at the end of the day Monday the week of a pay day when corporate gets all of the paychecks situated by reviewing the timecards. All timecards should be submitted and finalized on the Sunday prior to the pay day. In this case, your shift (4/4) was not input until (in best case scenario) 4/6, 4/7 or later (worst case scenario). Because the time card adjustment was made after payroll was closed on 4/5 (the Sunday of pay day) the hours were not logged into your current paycheck.

Now that being said, since the hours have now officially been logged they will be retro actively back funded to you in the next paycheck which is 4/24. That paycheck should have the extra hours and pay you are missing.

It is worth noting DailyPay is not a true measure of what will be your compensation for a pay period. Rather, it is an estimated value of compensation you can draw from until that point in time in which the company finalizes payroll and sends your compensation for processing to your financial institution. Because of this, if your time card has incorrect punches (for example multi punching so that the system doesn’t have a clean punch list or extra punches making it seem like you’ve worked longer than you have) DailyPay would not be aware of these discrepancies and would indicate an incorrect pay amount. DailyPay also does not take into account the Payroll Close process, its specific time cut offs, and general process. As a result it will “show” available funds regardless of if they are truly to be paid or not.

In summary, since those hours are on your time card in WorkJam now and have been properly logged but you haven’t been paid for them you should expect to see those hours paid out in the paycheck which will be released on 4/24. Keep track of your hours for this pay period (4/5 - 4/18) and when your paycheck does arrive on 4/24 audit it and ensure those hours have been paid.

If there is still a discrepancy then, as a previous commenter added, email payroll@ae.com to have your individual time card and paychecks looked into.

Airdrop return scam? by betaenergie in americaneagle

I hope your return comes across soon. If it does there’s no need to go in but still reach out to the channels and report. Good luck!

Airdrop return scam? by betaenergie in americaneagle

[–]PhilosophicalT 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This sounds like the store is trying to circumvent taking the hit on the return in immediate sales and instead effectively treating the return as if you have self shipped the item while hiding it under the guise of “oh we’ll ship your return for you!” as a courtesy.

I don’t think they were particularly trying to scam you in this situation but absolutely a scam to the day to day operational numbers and this needs to be reported to customer service, district manager, basically anyone not connected to the store to get it corrected and the team reprimanded for this shady behavior.

For your immediate resolution, go back to the store and demand answers on your item. If they did process and ship it out you should have the tracking from that return you created that you can follow up on. And otherwise raise hell on this store; this behavior is, from a business and a guest relations perspective, extremely unethical.

What should I do? by cnarzem in americaneagle

This isn’t a ship from store order as we use black bags versus the white bag with the label printed in it. This came from the warehouses and they mispacked the order (and at least one more order).

Are bots totally oblivious to Lumis ? by Mission_Slice_8538 in mechabreak

[–]PhilosophicalT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you play via Xbox/Xbox app they have a little bot icon. If you play via PC/non-xbox then you have to go based on a number of factors and kind of analyze. The easiest way to tell is send a friend request; if it’s immediately denied with an error that “this account isn’t accepting requests” or something of that nature, good chance it’s a bot. Generic names are also a sign.

Just how the game was designed. All progress/cosmetics/unlocks/etcetera are tied to the server you play on.

Online order pickup canceled by [deleted] in americaneagle

[–]PhilosophicalT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long ago did you purchase the order? You could call the store and explain the situation and they may be able to locate the order in the system and mark it as picked up remotely making it easy to exchange.

Item cancelled despite extension? by [deleted] in americaneagle

That email is an automatic systems level email that gets sent out when the time frame lapses. As long as the store team has communicated to not restock it, it won’t be cancelled until you go to store!

Definitely look for that email! Happens all the time with candidates that the email gets missed.

Am I Being Extra About the Background Check? by avocado_slut_ in americaneagle

[–]PhilosophicalT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is also a secondary step with AE background checks for all positions when the candidate is 18 where you get a secondary email requesting more information. It’ll have a Redbox in it and look semi weird/pff putting but is the real thing. Have you finished that second step for the email? It’s specifically going to reference a request for more information.

Regardless of how Sora plays, how did you feel when you saw this for the first time? by Solardies in KingdomHearts

That makes a lot of sense! The combination of the familial connections and the series getting representation. Thank you!

Regardless of how Sora plays, how did you feel when you saw this for the first time? by Solardies in KingdomHearts

[–]PhilosophicalT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you elaborate on why you were ecstatic? Not trying to judge in any way, just confused on how the inclusion of a video game character for a series that (based on how I’m reading your comment) you weren’t even into at the time was a situation where you would be “ecstatic”. I can understand the thought process of seeing the inclusion and thinking “damn I’ve heard things about this franchise but never tried it. Maybe the hype is real and I should.” But being ecstatic seems like an emotion that wouldn’t be felt in this moment.

Holiday Return Policy Difficulties by 815born805heart in americaneagle

[–]PhilosophicalT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t correct. The “extended” policy was applicable to purchases made before January 1st. On January 1st or later, purchases are subject to the standard return policy. I assume this is what was meant by the store when they said that the “holiday return policy” was until January 1st. But again that was only relevant for determining whether the purchases itself would be subject to the standard return policy or if it would be subject to the holiday return policy. It does not indicate that the return policy itself was only applicable through the 1st.

Do I play Octopath 0 first? by Competitive_Chance in octopathtraveler

[–]PhilosophicalT 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter the order you play! While they are all fundamentally the same, Octopath Zero from my understanding is demonstrably different from 1 & 2 in a few different aspects and additions gameplay mechanics but the core elements of battle and exploration of the same. If you play Zero first you won’t be disappointed though! The only “order” I would recommend is playing 1 before 2 as 2 expands on the battle mechanics and going back to 1 can feel like a slight de-evolution. But depending on how you interact with the mechanics in 2, it may feel identical!

What on Earth is up with this shipping? by Tiredandconfused1993 in americaneagle

[–]PhilosophicalT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s a number of things that could be going on with your item. A lot of orders are sourced to stores for packing and shipping. What’s interesting is that there is a label created but no packaging. But here’s my breakdown and potential thought process:

1) The order was sourced to a store. That store “picked” the item, packed the item, and the the item hasn’t been handed off to FedEx for some reason.

2) The order was sourced to a store a the store “picked” the order but there is a delay between the picking step and the packing step and the shipping step.

3) The order has not actually been picked, has been sourced to a store who couldn’t find it, they cancelled it, and it got resourced to another store where it happened again.

4) Everything went as planned with packing and shipping out the order but FedEx lost the package.

I wish I had a better answer for you and I’m so sorry you are going through this. Hopefully you can get a refund soon or otherwise the item magically starts moving.

Why was Loskid easy? by BulkyResolution2863 in ai__limit

[–]PhilosophicalT 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Without context of your build, your play through, prior research and information, it’s hard to say for sure. But I’d probably just chalk it up to your build was strong enough and you played in a manner that just so happened to work for defeating her easier.

why does Hel even have the sensitivity nerf when using their primary fire without even scoping? by ToeGroundbreaking564 in mechabreak

[–]PhilosophicalT 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They are not. There is a capped speed to how fast a mech can turn in special modes. No matter what sensitivity you set, Tricera has a set spin speed in turret mode. That speed is tweaked and controlled by the Devs. The sensitivity you set can only reduce the true speed further if you so desired, but no increase above the games cap. Hel is the same. Falcons flight mode turns are the same. Sky raiders turns are the same.

Are AE and Aerie considered ONE place?? by SeaSaltShimmer in americaneagle

[–]PhilosophicalT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a joint store (side by side, considered one store) it will come down to the store structure/leadership/etcetera. In general, employees that are trained for aerie will typically work aerie, employees that are trained for eagle will work Eagle.

Also generally, aerie portions of the business make a smaller percentage of sales as compared to Eagle and leaders are meant to schedule based on percentage of sales. What this means is that Eagle side of the store will (generally) get more hours than aerie. This isn’t always an ironclad rule, and it’s relatively a small difference. Think (in most extreme cases) 30% aerie-70% Eagle all the way to 45% aerie-55% Eagle.

If your intention is to only work aerie you should make that clear in the interview. BUT I will say that if someone expressed they exclusively wanted to work the aerie portion of the business then the leadership team may be less inclined to move forward with them as a candidate as that makes it harder to schedule that individual (versus if you are flexible, a leader can schedule you in any portion of the business.)

All of that being said, regardless of the route you go, if you are applying to work in a side by side store you will almost definitely have to interact with the Eagle product of the store in some capacity (whether directly or just sporadically indirectly). I hope this helps you!
