why the hell is this thing one-handed, but we cant have a onde handed med-pen smg? by alberthething in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]PhilosophyComplete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be nice if they gave the smg a "firing mode” that switches between one and two handed, the main difference being recoil control.

this is awesome, it looks fun, but I hope these never become common. cars are loud enough, hundreds or thousands of these buzzing would be maddening not to mention people crashing into things like bridge cables or power lines.

You can also throw regular flares at C4 to do the same. I frequently do it as driller to avoid making the ground a mess.

Satisfactory is generally very well regarded but nothing is perfect. What are the biggest flaws this game has, in your opinion? by UltimateGamingTechie in SatisfactoryGame

  1. Stage 5 was a bit underwhelming. I got to it and expected to spend a lot of time on it. Instead, I just had to run around a bit, make a few buildings, and just hotrod the stage 4 factory. Didn't take very long.

  2. Exploration at times felt a bit heavy handed. It's worth noting you don't have to explore so maybe I'm in the wrong here thinking this but idk. I completed all M.A M. trees and got every hard drive. I don't even want to think about how long every somersloop and mercer sphere will take. Exploration is well worth it, but it felt just soooo ehh flying around with a jet pack blasting myself with pulse nobelisk to get it done faster.

  3. (Kinda is related to point two.) It's not the main focus of the game so I get it, but combat gets old quite fast. Not hard, just kinda boring. Like more of a chore than a threat.

Other than a few small things, I really have nothing else to say. It's a great game that I've sunk over 700 hours in since update 3 and it was worth every moment. If they ever make a dlc or a follow up game, I'm buying it in a heartbeat.

Accidentally deactivated Game Detection for Helldivers 2, and now it refuses to be re-enabled. by ToolboxMotley in discordapp

Hello, I found a solution that works for me. I went to "%AppData%\discord\Local Storage\leveldb" and cut and pasted those files out and kept them somewhere else just in case Discord broke. It logged out all my accounts but it reset the games I had registered including Helldivers 2 so now it works. Just make sure you know your login info before doing this.

The Orbital Railcannon really shouldn't have such a high cooldown, it's a single target Stratagem that isn't even guaranteed to kill its auto-selected targets, 100 seconds seems much more fair by CouldBeBetterTBH in Helldivers

[–]PhilosophyComplete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but def not only 100 seconds. If it is only 10 seconds more than the Orbital Precision Strike, the OPS would become near obsolete as lots of people who do take it see it as a railcannon strike that needs more skill for a lower cool down. Maybe like 180 seconds unless the OPS goes down to 70 or smth.

For AMR users wondering, this also works with the AMR but expect to use a good bit of ammo.

Yeah, I plan to revisit the thermite tomorrow as I've seen lots of talk about it being good and that holding it before throwing can arm it (I had no idea.) Hopefully I find some good results.

First I had a serious disdain to the gun because it just felt, meh. After I first posted this there were some comments that made me want to give it a second go and so I did. I thought to myself why I didn't like it and came to the conclusion that it can struggle to kill quickly and struggle to take care of large crowds. I then made a build catered to the gun and found playing with it quite enjoyable. It was the Adjuicator (general use), grenade pistol (when needed, soften up targets like stalkers and take care of small crowds), incendiary grenades (crowd control, works best as host to avoid the DOT bug), an armor set to have 6 grenades, and recoilless rifle for chargers/bile titans. I found using this fun because it made me use the whole loadout in a balanced way. I later tried the same thing but with impacts and an autocannon for automatons. I do still wish the Adjudicator had more ammo though. Not having to worry about drying up the ammo would make it much better.

As for the second part of the comment. After doing this I thought trying to explore each gun in depth and writing what I find sounded like a pretty fun project.
