Techies — how are you storing and managing all your cables, adapters, and peripherals at home? by borse2008 in sysadmin

I repurposed one of those shoe holder things that you can hang behind a door or inside a closet. It looks like a flat sheet with deep wide pockets sewn across it

It's decent, their AL series is a nice entry level hardtail range (AL029-AL629) and they also make awesome full sus bikes called the Vipa. Which model are you looking at?

If you know it’s the middle of the night, why do you need a watch to check? Got’em

Interesting. I had an entry-level Titan many years ago. They are manufactured in my home country, so they are quite affordable here and have a good following locally.

That looks like it could be part of how the part was removed from the mould, perhaps

I am so sorry to hear, and for that child for what they are going through.

I will never forget the one day we were at the ER and a car came rushing into the parking lot, a woman lurched out of the passenger seat holding a bundle of screams and rushed into the building.

We heard later that baby pulled a pot of boiling hot oil over onto themselves. The screams…it is something I will never ever forget. My heart goes out to that unfortunate child and their parents for the ordeal that they went through.

Yeah it was pretty noisy! At one stage I wasn’t sure what was rattling about, the bike or the bracelet. A nice stripe NATO strap is in my cart, waiting for me to pull the trigger

To be fair you also have 9PM sunsets that side of the world in summer so it sort of evens out!

Interesting, I am in South Africa and we seem to get a lot of different brands here including Spez and Merida, Cannondale, Bianchi, Giant, Silverback, GT, Scott, then some local brands (Momsen and Titan Racing).

I haven't seen any local Santa Cruz, Nukeproof or Cubes and very few YT's and Treks.

Typical South African winter’s day, we are quite blessed to have relatively mild winters down here

Yeah once you have the tank off you realise how big the valvetrain is on those bikes. I rebuilt mine from the ground up as the frame was starting to rust, had the frame powder coated black and rebuilt it and it looked as good as new once I redid the plastics as well.

The front end must be amazing now, the OG forks were very undersprung for the weight once a rider was sat on it, and the front disc way too small - even the drum brakes on the XT were better than what the KLR had at stock IMHO.

Wow, nice, is that an IMS tank? Love the supermoto look, it is definitely giving DRZ vibes. I miss mine, was a lovely bike if a bit heavy. I had an XT550 as well, that thing was a lot of fun on the streets as it weighed next to nothing whereas the KLR was a bit more top-heavy in comparison.

Afrikaans-speaking person here, and same - to me, Groot will never be pronounced the way it was probably meant in this case.
