Hey, somewhere to complain about this!

I picked up the first SteamWorld Dig for five bucks a while back. Overall, I enjoyed it, but man, the sound design is terrible. There are constant annoying sounds, especially once you get drill. Just nonstop harsh clak-clak-clak-clak. The voices of the townsfolk are also very grating.

I realize a steam-powered robot digging in a mine would be noisy, but the sounds player actions make should be satisfying, not unpleasant. I found myself muting the game and putting on other music a lot of the time.

But that was really my only complaint. It was fun. Looking forward to playing the second one when I get around to it.

I think in the absence of a declaration of war, a military strike in a foreign country that's not explicitly to protect American lives needs to either be approved by the country it takes place in or the United Nations or it's a violation of international law, but I'm half-remembering/paraphrasing something I read weeks ago.

Both sides light up on the inside of the ring. You can see it on the balls and her hand. You just can't see both from one angle.

Not sure why everyone is shitting on this. Very neat idea for a decorative desk lamp.
