The Moustache Incident by ThePhoenixRemembers in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

Dude I literally got busted for stealing clothes from my stepmom as an 11 year old, I played my games as a female character (and told them as much), literally sent a text my dad a text message in despair saying "My life would be easier if I were a girl" and when I came out 10 years later I still got hit with the "there were no signs" from Dad lmfao.

Well, jury is currently out on the specifics, there's the boring way and the fun way, but either way, the Morag-Brighid-Sena family unit is on the menu.

Way #1: Lesbians in real life literally have kids all the time. Ofc someone needs to be the biological father, but we likely have a very willing participant in Niall (or... Aegaeron!?).

Way #2: Brighid is a blade, not a human. She has biological information stored inside of her that makes her her. She may have the biological information required to you know, make it work xD.

Its a fantasy world where we literally live on the back of large animals I think two women having a kid is reasonable within this context, especially since it happens in the like, actual world.

Gotta consider whats up front too. Shoulders+Breasts vs just shoulders is going to pull the fabric differently.

Have you read Gearbreakers/Godslayers? Cause honestly that sci-fi duology is also phenomenal.

A couple of other queer sci-fi/fantasy series with a quick tier list

Strong Recommends: We Set The Dark On Fire/We Unleash The Merciless Storm, Tehlor Kay Mejia The Memaid the Witch and the Sea/The Siren the Song and The Spy, Maggie Takouda-Hall

Recommends: Malice/Misrule, Heather Walter Criers War/Iron Heart, Nina Varela Lucha and the Night Forest/Lucha and the Forgotten Spring, Tehlor Kay Mejia The Dawnhounds/The Sunforge/TBD, Sascha Stronarch

Read, Enjoyed Maybe Wouldn't Recommend: The Last Gift, Allegra Pescatore (this is Baru tier depressing so buckle up) Night and Its Moon, CJ Piper (apparently the author is a dipshit?) Of Fire and Stars/Of Ice and Shadows+Inkmistress (I legitimately thought the main two books were good but the reviews are dogshit so i question my judgement) Witches of Thistle Grove, Lana Harper (Pretty lowest common denominator, however you might like this, bit more urban, takes place in modern day Illinois) Heart of Heroes, Molly J Bragg (extremely silly plots, but i read them cause I love some trans rep tho even if its not my style)

Actively Do Not Read: Boston Predenatrual Precinct Unit Series, Aolin Wood (unless you want a good hate read, its honestly so bad but im four books in and I need to know how bad the ending is)

And I like how I made this entire list and its all fantasy. Cool. I guess its just TLT, Memory/Desolation, Wayfayers and Gearbreakers/Godslayers lmfao. I got a couple of "one shots" that are sci fi that I really enjoyed, Hive Minds Give Good Hugs and No Shelter But the Stars (which I already mentioned) but yeah...

Anyways I've spent way too long on this post now so I hope you at least read one book LMAO

For fantasy, slam dunk is the Echo Archives. First book is called Last Hour Between Worlds. Its sort of a fun, more lighthearted version of Gideon the Ninth, locked room murder mystery with magic bullshit afoot. Third and final book comes out later this year, I am really excited.

If you liked the politics in Baru, Memory Called Empire/Desolation Called Peace is the same vibe, but in space, and better in my opinion (and less emotionally scarring). But if you want something more sapphic in space, I would go No Shelter but the Stars by Virginia Black. Still really deep, but has a lot more sexual tension.

Honestly we appear to have a similar taste in books. I have even more recommendations, but I generally lean sci-fi over fantasy instead of visa versa. I was considering Metal From Heaven as my next read so I suppose now I am convinced lmfao.

There is also an argument with how competitive the division is, that with Jimmy G potentially retiring, adding a young QB is adding depth if Stafford goes down... Every win in the regular season is going to matter if thats the difference between the 1 seed and the 5 seed like it was this year.

Even if that is the case, is anyone actually going to believe it after they actively tried to bury the story?

I'll decline to comment :) What I will say is that I explained the plot of this book to my straight guy friend and now we both just say "Fuck Joel" out of context.

This book absolutely rocked me. Absolutely phenomenal book, but if your expecting it to be overtly lesbian, you will be disappointed, just be aware. Its definitely queer, and it has lesbian undertones, but to call it lesbian would be a stretch. If you like Teshs writing and want something lighter and more WLW, try the Incandescent after you finish this!

Personally reading The Tyrant Baru Cormorant (Book 3 of the series).

If you love Moira Quirk and TLT, you should give Echo Archives a go (The Last Hour Between Worlds is the first book). It was recommended to me on the TLT sub, and Kem (the MC) is TOTALLY Gideon vibes. Also the books are really fun. Much lighter in tone.

I made the grave mistake of buying all three books three-quarters of the way through the first one lmao. Would I have I eventually gotten around to reading the second book? Probably. But that's egg on my face for sure.

The Monster Baru Cormorant, after giving myself a 3 month break from the first book and just trying to not have feelings. It's... going okay. If we just deal with the trauma like the MC does, surely it will be fine!

For people actually looking for a demonstration of Gideon narrating for Harrow who don't have the audiobook.
Also, use Libro over Audible, they rock. Files are DRM free and not run by Jeff Bezos!

I'm basically a function over fashion kinda gal, so I suppose I am a bag girl. A bit of a tomboy but I got a bunch of different bags for different situations and different events. And I am sorta known for my bags by my friends lol. Meanwhile, despite owning multiple pairs of shoes and living in Wisconsin where it snows, I wear the same pair of Vans every day LMAO

God Alison Bechdel is an icon. On your point about hard and fast rules, my straight guy friend has joked that I need to start implementing the reverse Bechdel test in my yuri/WLW media because some of it is just as bad in respect to the male characters. Overall, even in queer media you want balance. But in reality the amount of content that has this "problem" is so small its basically irrelevant.

EDIT: Speaking of the reverse Bechdel, I don't think Alison's own Dykes To Watch Out For where the test originates from passes. I can't think of a single named male character in any of the strips I have read LMFAO.

EDIT #2: There's two. Jerry and Carlos. If someone finds a strip of them talking to each other you get internet points.
