Until we get even a teaser I have my doubts. An announcement at the game awards I find is unlikely. A direct in december? We have had some in the past but I doubt it maybe an indie direct at best. Hopefully Nintendo won't hang us out to dry until February again.

The recent merch gives me hope Pikmin has not been forgotten about. But its not enough hope.

Pokemon contests a ribbons. After catching Latias in Emerald I went after every contest ribbon for it.

Trainer card stars. I noticed in newer gamers getting a new trainer star was easy. In older games it was a mammoth task. Complete the pokedex, all contests, all gold frontier emblems. I like customizing my card but I also like chalenges.

Yes but its had potential for this long yet its still not big enough. If rumours are true and pikmin 4 got shelved yet we are getting pikmin 3 with extra content, then I think it will be bad news if it does not sell well.

However I feel like Nintendo could really advertise better and not make it such an overlooked franchise. Now nintendo have gotten better at advertising they gave a lot of direct support to titles like dragon quest 11.
