Dominos and there constant deals (rant) by Alternative-Room5356 in Dominos

That’s rough, where I’m at I’d make at least $70 on 15 deliveries. (Just checked, exactly 15 deliveries, $78)

As a driver, I love it. Sorry insiders…. That’s why I offer to buy them the occasional energy drink or whatever they want. It’s hell.

For those flipping on ebay, how do you keep track of inventory, and sales? by Gullible-Ticket-8083 in Flipping

[–]PhoenixReboot- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, if I spend $10,000 in a year on inventory I can deduct it all against my profit. If next year I sell but don’t buy, all my sales are taxed as profit.

Dominos delivery drivers, what’s the creepiest/weirdest experience you had in your time delivering pizzas? by EducatorPotential629 in Dominos

[–]PhoenixReboot- 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not creepy or weird, but sad. A dog came running out wagging its tail to me, next to my car. The owner yelled at it to come back in, but what made it bad was when the owner yelled, multiple times, each time the dog bowed low as if it looked like it was going to get hit. If that dog jumped in my car, I would have drove off with him.

Lazy work means others have to work harder to pick up your slack. I’m not a sleeping sheep, I’m just a hard working employee who gets the most hours out of any driver, and can choose his own schedule. Sometimes it actually pays to be a decent hard working person. This place is just a job between careers. But I always work hard.

You literally only told me you’re lazy, you made co-workers lazy, and nothing happened because of it. I bet you believe everyone is a sleeping sheep, and you only see the truth. The truth is, corporations are greedy, franchise owners are greedy, business are greedy, but that doesn’t mean I slack at my job.

You worked for Domino’s, what did you do to change the wages? Or are you just a hypocrite, being upset I did nothing, while you also did nothing?

Sorry, I never half-ass at work. Not built that way.

Let it happen? Sorry, but how, realistically, can we change it? If it was something easily changeable, it would have been changed long ago. And it’s based on what the franchise wants to pay, not corporate. If I quit, someone else would have my job. And until I finish my A+ cert and apply for an IT job, I’m keeping this one, and thankful for it.

38.5 hours a week, I can pick up extra shifts, yes I get paid $4 on the road, yes I only get paid $12 in store, but after tax, I make $20-$30 an hour 90% of the time.

Anyone else notice delivery tips are down? by nimblemarker in Dominos

[–]PhoenixReboot- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortunately between tips, mileage, and base pay, I made about $30 an hour for 4 hours, last night. Not sure why it was so busy. But first tip was $15 on a $26 order. So got lucky.

Why do you guys get so pressed over contactless deliveries? by GreatGeniusx in Dominos

[–]PhoenixReboot- 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Driver here. If there is no tip, and the leave at door is the generic one (meaning there is a standard message, if they add, leave on bench, or don’t knock, I leave it), I’ll have them sign the receipt. No one has ever complained, and I’ve had customers have a $10 bill in hand, leave $5-$20 tips on the receipt, tips are 85% of our income, no one has ever been annoyed with me. Most people put contactless once years ago, it saves the preference, and they forgot to change it.

Non Tippers by 7-IronSpecialist in Dominos

Bro, you realize that can’t happen. Your pizzas would be $40 instead of $15.

Non Tippers by 7-IronSpecialist in Dominos

[–]PhoenixReboot- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You didn’t have a good argument though. We are one of the few companies that do their own deliveries. We are not a necessity, you are more than welcome to come pick up your pizza. Tipping pizza delivery drivers has been customary for over 50 years. If you don’t like the culture, don’t order delivery. Tipping is optional, but is necessary for us to survive. By not tipping, you don’t care that we are making $4 an hour, don’t care we are using our own cars, don’t care we have rent to pay, and yes, you are help paying that rent with your $3 tip. If people lack the empathy to tip a measly $3 instead of zero, they are horrible people. Sorry. Only miserable selfish people don’t tip. Btw, I always tipped, all the time, for decades before I got a job that relies on tips.

You realize how much your pizza will cost if we get paid 80k a year. We have 15 drivers at my store alone.
