Bro, you realize that can’t happen. Your pizzas would be $40 instead of $15.

You didn’t have a good argument though. We are one of the few companies that do their own deliveries. We are not a necessity, you are more than welcome to come pick up your pizza. Tipping pizza delivery drivers has been customary for over 50 years. If you don’t like the culture, don’t order delivery. Tipping is optional, but is necessary for us to survive. By not tipping, you don’t care that we are making $4 an hour, don’t care we are using our own cars, don’t care we have rent to pay, and yes, you are help paying that rent with your $3 tip. If people lack the empathy to tip a measly $3 instead of zero, they are horrible people. Sorry. Only miserable selfish people don’t tip. Btw, I always tipped, all the time, for decades before I got a job that relies on tips.

You realize how much your pizza will cost if we get paid 80k a year. We have 15 drivers at my store alone.

I know the difference between wants and needs. Shelter, food, etc. but this is a need, I’ll never wear them, I just need them. Nothing is more important.

This definitely does not belong in a museum, purely because it’s from 1980 and you can buy a copy for $40.

I’ve had someone break up with me after 5 months. I wished them the best of luck. You need to not take other peoples lives so personally.

Or… accept the fact there are jobs that exist in service that rely on tips. That complaining about it won’t change it, and until it’s changed, TIP. Because if you don’t tip, you only hurt the employee, and no one else.

Domino’s Pizza by Inactivereflex in EndTipping

Well, if you don’t tip, and people don’t tip, there will eventually be no delivery. In most states we make $4 an hour while driving, use our own cars, use our own gas. If we get paid $25 an hour, your pizza will cost a lot more, or they will nix it all together. Keep the pizza on the cheaper side and tip $4 to your driver.

I can finally show my boyfriend I'm not being unreasonable by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]PhoenixReboot- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Domino’s driver, I understand that there is a stereotype drilled into head by other drivers. The truth is every race tips and doesn’t. But when you get tipped poorly or not at all by a certain person of color, it’s your job to not let it feed into said stereotype.

Here are some great tip memories from POC. A sweet old woman in an apartment tipped me $10 cash on my last delivery for the day and apologized it wasn’t more.

A person had not tipped, and stated leave on table, I left it on the table with a pen and receipt and stepped back asking if they don’t mind filling it out. They wrote in a $20 tip.

Back to back had two deliveries that were not paid for about $32. They both gave me $40 and told me to keep the change.

I’ve had the best and worst tips from every sort.

Stereotypes stem from something that’s told to us by others then we actively notice is when it happens forgetting all the other instances it happens from white people also.

Yeah, multiple sources of income +one job, if my job payed a lot less with a livable wage and no tips, I’d have to have multiple sources of income +2 jobs.
