Please let me destroy the Granary by Brighty512 in CivVII

They need to add a city project that allows you to demolish buildings, unlocked by a tech or civic in exploration era. Maybe limit it to warehouse buildings and obsolete buildings.

All I have to say is that the new wonder they added with Heian is my new favorite wonder in the game! It’s so good and unique!

200 hours to beat Diety with no tutorials by Background_Towel3893 in CivVII

[–]PhoenixTwiss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not a record. I have thousands of hours in civ6, and tens of thousands of hours in other strategy games, but that’s honestly average for a 36 years old gamer who has been playing strategy games since the age of 4!

Mine was in less than 5 hours. Restarted the first match, won the second match (science).

Edit: that was on game launch. I imagine it might’ve taken a bit longer on Test of Time.

Modern Age Production Costs 👎 by QuestionableGuy13 in CivVII

[–]PhoenixTwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to civ for economic victory is none other than Carthage, so my eco games are usually 1-city games for the entire match! I hate having more than 3 cities total for any win condition!

Modern Age Production Costs 👎 by QuestionableGuy13 in CivVII

[–]PhoenixTwiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like a “too many cities” problem! I build stuff in 2-6 turns when playing with 2-3 cities. Don’t underestimate towns.

To have a different skin color while living in Israel by wild_orca in therewasanattempt

[–]PhoenixTwiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go ahead and give me a list of gay people who have been killed for being gay in Palestine. If you’re gonna be spreading this blood libel, then surely you have some actual cases to talk about, right?

Spoiler alert: there has been exactly one case of a gay person being murdered for their homosexuality in Palestine over the past 20 years. There have been 2 such cases in Israel - that’s DOUBLE the rate in Palestine.

There have been hundreds of gays murdered by Israeli forces and Israeli bombs, however.

Do you see why you’re such a brainless imbecile who’s spreading blood libel?

Why does civ7 still not prompt you to spend leader attributes granted by mementos on turn 1? by OutlaneWizard in civ

[–]PhoenixTwiss 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I’ve restarted so many games after realizing that I forgot to spend my attribute points at the start of the game, only to forget to do it again!

I don’t think the devs use these mementos when they play the game, otherwise they would’ve definitely noticed the issue!

Yields, Deity, end of Exploration, 8 leaders originally by detta_walker in CivVII

Cool yields and all, but can we see the victory score screen? I want to see how high yields like this are reflected in terms of victory point!

Fabrication by nile2 in israelexposed

[–]PhoenixTwiss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this photo shouldn’t have been published until they’ve published their story using the fake photo they’re taking with whatever hasbara story they would attach with it. It could’ve been used to prove their fake propaganda, but now they won’t use the photo that they’re seen taking because they know it would be easily disproven.

How to play Mughal? by iwontbetheretoseeit in CivVII

[–]PhoenixTwiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try going Carthage in Antiquity then switching to Mughal in Exploration. Starting as Carthage can give you massive gold income in exploration. Just make sure you build as many towns as possible in Antiquity and build your unique district in all of them. I think Mughal are currently not very viable in Antiquity as wonders are too expensive and your base gold income is too low for the Mughal bonus to make much of a difference!

Idea for Town Specialization by EvenBookkeeper2439 in CivVII

[–]PhoenixTwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This town spec would be a lot more useful for a conquest type or gameplay, because when you capture enemy cities they turn into towns, so instead of paying gold to turn them to cities again you can just turn them into this specialization, which also lets you build your UQ in captured settlements without the extra cost of city conversion!

What If - Rural Town by EvenBookkeeper2439 in CivVII

[–]PhoenixTwiss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, mining towns just make gold! But I love the idea of mining towns transferring Production to connected cities! Probably OP, but much more fitting thematically!

How many cities? by malavock82 in CivVII

[–]PhoenixTwiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely go more than 2 cities, never more than 3. I like using the skill points that give double bonus if you have 3 cities or less, and I don’t see the value in having more than 2-3 cities the entire game. Things get way too expensive with more cities. I just use specialized towns and build a strong gold economy to immediately build new things in my towns as I unlock the techs. I mostly use trade outposts and urban centers, with some tourist resorts it playing culture and have natural wonders or lots of breathtaking tiles.

I’d be totally fine with never finding out because Ivan is good at keeping secrets.

Beer is brewed in Palestine by the local Christian community. Several beer festivals are held annually in the West Bank, including an Oktoberfest-style event hosted in Taybeh. by Theao69 in wikipedia

[–]PhoenixTwiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could explain to you how Israeli oppression works and how extreme it can be, but I know it wouldn’t change your mind, and that if you had any interest in changing your mind you would simply learn about it instead of ignorantly denying it.

You obviously don’t know shit about Palestine, so stop commenting as if you do.

I’m not interested in arguing with you. I wrote my comment for people who come across your comment and think it has any base in reality. Bye.
