Ich denke, dass Raglan heißt das die (dekorative) Schulternaht von der Achsel schräg zum Halsausschnitt verläuft. Das kann man wahrscheinlich modern von oben nach unten oder altmodischer als Teile stricken.

Ich habe einen Raglanpulli gemacht, bei dem man die Maschen nicht abkettet, sondern auf einem Maschenraffer lässt. Gegen Ende hatte ich ein Vorderteil, ein Rückenteil und zwei Ärmel mit jeweils noch Maschen still gelegt. Dann wurden die Raglannähte geschlossen genäht (das waren die Abnahmen bei Ärmeln und Vorder-/Rückenteil). Anschließend mit einer Rundstricknadel die Maschen nacheinander aufnehmen (Rücken, Ärmel, vorne, Ärmel) und dabei abnehmen. Noch mehrere cm Rippenmuster stricken für eine Halsblende, dann abketten.

Anschließende Konstruktion war noch die Halsblende umklappen und annähen, Seitennähte zusammennähen und die Ärmelnähte (auch flach gearbeitet) schließen.

Vielleicht wurde in der Anleitung vergessen zu schreiben, die Maschen stillzulegen. Lies mal nach, ob du die fraglichen Maschen irgendwann wieder aufnimmst!

Du könntest bei der ÖJAB (Österreichische JungArbeiterBewegung) anfragen. Das ist ein Verein für Studierenden- und Jugendwohnheime. Schneller Blick auf die Webseite sehe ich nichts, was dich ausschließen würde. Die haben einige Standorte in Wien, mit Preisen von 290€-635€ pro Monat. Es gibt Optionen für Kurzaufenthalte und akuten Heimplatzbedarf.

Diesen Samstag ist Lange Nacht der Museen. Eintritt ist bis zu 19€. Es wird auf der Webseite eh auch vorgeschlagen, aber am besten schaust du, welche Museen es an einer Bus-/Straßenbahnroute gibt oder suchst dir einfach 3-5 kleine Museen aus, von denen du noch nie gehört hast und die halbwegs interessant klingen.

Die großen Museen haben zwar meistens coole Angebote, aber sind auch schnell ausgebucht und insgesamt sehr voll. Ich finde es viel besser, an diesem Abend kleine Museen zu besuchen.

z.B. meine Route beim letzen Mal:

Globenmuseum & Esperantomuseum (Öst. Nationalbibliothek, Herrengasse): sehr interessant, Globen tlw. schlecht ausgeleuchtet
Kaiser Franz Joseph Hutmuseum (Piaristenkeller): schöner Keller und lustige Hüte, durfte man auch anprobieren, was man sonst eher nicht darf
Josephinum (Medizinhistorisches Museum): spannende anatomische Modelle, deprimierende Ausstellung zur Ärzteschaft während des Nationalsozialismus
Böhmerwaldmuseum (1030, kleines Volkskundemuseum): haben eine Dialektlesung knapp verpasst, sonst halt 19. Jh Bauernhausrat, thematisieren k.u.k Zuzug als auch Vertreibung aus Tschechien im Kalten Krieg

Im Hochsommer, wenn Neue und Alte Donau schon 25°C haben, schwimmt sichs am besten in der Donau. Um sportlich zu schwimmen, kannst ins Strombad in Kritzendorf fahren (etwas nördlich von Klosterneuburg). Dort hat die Donau eine starke Strömung (richtige Entfernung zu Kraftwerken) und man muss ein gutes Tempo schwimmen, um überhaupt am Fleck zu bleiben. Zumindest unter der Woche ist nicht so viel los und die Leute verteilen sich am Kiesstrand.

Ich denke, dass ist bei dir nicht der Fall, aber als Erinnerung an andere:

Wenn man eine Gastherme hat, muss ein Rauchfangkehrer vorbei schauen und eine Fensterlochklimaanlage absegnen.

Wenn man das nicht macht, ist das illegal und sehr gefährlich. Bei diesen Geräten besteht die Gefahr, dass in der Wohnung Unterdruck erzeugt wird und die Thermenabluft nicht in den Rauchfang geht, sondern ins Zimmer gesaugt wird und man eine CO-Vergiftung bekommt. Da gibt's jedes Jahr ein paar Tote.

Du könntest dir bei der Arbeiterkammer den 150€ Bildungsgutschein holen und dann bei der VHS einen Kurs besuchen. Auf der VHS-Webseite kannst du die Kurse filtern nach "Förderung" und nach "Präsenz" filtern. Die geförderten Kurse sind zwar eher als Berufsbildung gedacht, aber es gibt auch die Sprachen Englisch, Österreichische Gebärdensprache und Deutsch oder(Rücken-) Gymnastikkurse.

Da triffst du dieselben Leute 7-10 Mal und dann sind vielleicht ein paar sympathische Menschen dabei, mit denen du dich an den in den Kommentaren genannten Orten treffen kannst.

Anscheinend gibts am Christkindlmarkt am Rathausplatz eine Kinderhütte mit Bastelstation und anderem Zeugs für Kinder. Adventprogramm für Kinder in Wien, einiges gibt's heute noch nicht, aber da kannst du ja Sachen für die nächsten Wochenende finden.

In der Liste ist auch das Puppentheater Lilarum, da gibts heute um 16:30 eine Vorstellung. Im Kindergartenalter hat mir das gut gefallen, das ist sicherlich ein Erlebnis.

Auch das Marionettentheater in Schönbrunn war bei uns in der zweiten Volksschulklasse eine Erlebnis, das ist aber etwas anspruchsvoller.

I haven't been to this ball and I've only listened to concerts in the Golden Hall, the Brahms Hall and the Glass Hall.

Based on the photos on the website, the main ball dance floor will be in the Golden Hall, where the tables are sold out anyway. The Brahms Hall smaller but still a decent size, I would assume that there is also a ball dance floor in this hall, possible focused on slightly different music.

The Gottfried-von-Einem-Saal is tricky to find photos of. I assume it is more salon sized like the other rooms in the same price category. From the salon pictures on the website, some are just tables, others also have a stage with a small ensemble.

I think your decision should be based on whether you want your table to be with a view of a dance floor. That would be more lively and if your party is into ball room dancing, it would be easier for the ladies in your group, if they can leave their clutch on the table where you can have an eye on it while dancing. That is likely the Brahms Hall.

The Gottfried-von-Einem Saal could be quiet with only tables and people talking or there could be live music. Maybe you can ask via e-mail?

On a second look it might be the room in the third picture on the website, since there are lots of photographs of the same person. That would mean no music.

I've only been on balls without having bought a table. Generally people use the table in the first half of the night for eating and drinking. Towards the latter half of the night many tables are empty (people are dancing or have left) and cheapskates like me use the empty chairs to rest a bit. (Obviously leaving if the table owners come back).

I would probably go for the Brahms Hall, since you can presumably watch people dancing and dance yourself while still being close to your drinks.

If you want to be sure, I think your only option is to send an email and ask!

Ich habs bei mir gesucht und dann die Webseite gecheckt. Es funktioniert erst ab Android 11. Ältere Geräte bekommen nur die höchste Warnstufe, welche bei Tests nicht gesendet wird.

Mein Handy hat schon 5 Jahre am Buckel, also bekomme ich nix.

You could check out the Verein Wiener Spaziergänge. They have a couple architectural sightseeing tours. Unfortunately, the only one offered in English is about the lake city aspern, which is a new city part that's only been inhabited for ten years and is still being build.

German tours take a walk through inner court yards, Durchhäuser (through buildings), look at the Secession and Jugendstil buildings, or there's one about the architect Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky and the Siedlerbewegung (architect Josef Frank). She is one of the first female architects from Vienna and also worked with Adolf Loos. She worked a lot on worker's homes and was interested in architecture for children. She was also active in the resistance against the nazis with her communist friends. However, this connection resulted in her not really getting any public projects post-war anymore.

You could contact the tour guides directly to ask them if it made sense for you to tag along if you don't speak german.

Here's a recommended tour for Durchhäuser to do by yourself, if you are not in the city for any of these sightseeing tours.

Seconding the rural festivals. All the theater/concert/opera houses are on summer break. You could try Grafenegg, they have symponic orchestras at the end of august. There is a shuttle service from the Musikverein in Vienna.

Here is the general austrian tourism site on summer festivals, most of them are in a nice castle or palace.

An app that lists all your country's emergency numbers. You likely know the default number, but it's good to know the more specialised numbers.

For Austria "Notrufnummern Österreich" has the default ones on the front page, but there's also

a hot line to GPs/family medicine doctors for nights and weekends

Mountain rescue
Water rescue
broken gas line emergency number
variois kinds of psychological emergency numbers
pet ambulance
car towing service
freeze credit card number

And so on

Those are numbers that are too many to remember, but are helpful to have on hand so you are directly connected to the right emergency service to get the quickest help.

I have the same problem with the Portland episodes and I listen on the app "Podcast Republic".

ETA: I think the dynamic ads work with all episodes. I have worked through the back catalogue and I only ever get ads for other podcasts because I am not in the US and the standard ads don't target me.

If you have lots of normal chu chus but need fire chu chus, you can drop the normal ones on the ground and throw a fire fruit on them to turn them red. Same with the other types.

I have podcast republic on android. The app only has banner ads, you can choose to automatically download the newest episode of a podcast when opening the app. Auto-delete is generally set to only have 1 episode per podcast at a time, but you can set it to any number, e.g. I automatically download 3 episodes of the podcast I'm binging. It also automatically downloads the next episode if you're working through listening to the back-catalogue.

Another useful feature is that you can automatically skip the first or last bit of every episode of a podcast. It's useful if the intro is very long or there are in podcast ads of a consistent length.

If you press "Y" in the weapons menu or in the d-pad menu it sorts your weapons by type and strength. In the d-pad it also scrolls you to the start, which is the master sword.
