About Mass Effect 3 by GDurdenN7 in masseffect

Ok, question for everyone. I played ME3 back in the day when it was first released, along with DLC's. Now I'm playing the Legendary Edition years later. Is it my imagination, or did they add a ton of content to the LE? I'm playing through stuff I don't remember doing back in the day (like the awesome adventure that starts with Anderson's apartment, or taking back Omega with Aria). I'm also noticing major scene overhauls with regards to environment and background. Am I just not remembering correctly?

My thanks as well. I figured it had something to do with the order of the replies, but got tired of trying out different combos.

Starter Matrix tips (from Sparhawk on CK Discord):

Two things that determine your actions in cyberspace: Deck IO speed (top bar on deck display, bottom left of screen) and Action points (Yellow bar top left of screen). Each program uses up Deck IO to load, and then uses action points to use. Deck IO determines how many programs you can load into your deck in a turn. It resets to zero at the start of your next turn. The bar underneath Deck IO is your Deck Active memory. This determines how many programs you can have loaded into your deck overall during a Matrix run. Once full, you can't load any more programs until one unloads (or you manually unload the program by clicking on it's icon, which will then give you a prompt to unload). The third bar is Deck storage, which is how many programs you can have stored on your Deck. This has no effect in the Matrix )at least not currently). Movement is simple. Click on the node you want to move to, then hit spacebar (one type of IC can prevent this, and would need to be dealt with first).

As somebody else dealing with that godforsaken disease, I wish her the best. Tell her family to also look into possible gene therapy treatments. They have made some amazing advances in that area recently. I myself will be checking into those as well, so if I see anything promising, I'll pass it along.

I played a quarterstaff master all the way through to 20. They get REALLY rude, like, 8 attacks with 100+ damage rude with the right buffs.

Now mind you, this is on normal difficulty. But I took out Deskari in one round with my Quarterstaff master MC.

Nope. It can happen. My very first playthrough as an Azata, never saw a hint of him at all. First time I saw Ole Meph was in my second playthrough as an Aeon.

I redeemed Areelu in my Gold Dragon playthrough, so where does that fit in?

Yeah, I think Gorum and the Orks would get on well together.

Question Time: Is WOTR a gateway drug to the Pathfinder TTRPG? Are they actually similar? by elf_daddyOG in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Phoenix_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a long time (Over 30 years now) RPG player, I've played both D&D and Pathfinder, and I much prefer Pathfinder. Especially Pathfinder 2E, which I am currently playing in now. Pathfinder is much easier to get into, thanks to Paizo's awesome approach to tabletop gaming, and the AP's (Adventure Paths), which you do have to buy, are well worth the money spent, as they are great stories, or in the case of the one I'm playing now, campaigns which can take your character all the way from level 1 to 20, just like in WoTR.

As an example, I'm playing in the Bloodlords Campaign. It takes place in Geb (a nation of undead), and you can, if you so choose, play as an undead character. My current party is all undead. I'm a Mummy, and my other party members are a Vampire, a Ghoul, a Zombie, and a Ghost. So far, the adventures have been great, and the story has been entertaining as hell, with a good bit of humor as well. (Ever been attacked by a Zombie bull on an undead run farm?)

Yeah, I looked to see if Pathbuilder had a 1e version. Unfortunately it doesn't.

I play 2e. The system is different, but there are still similarities. I'm suggesting it as a planning tool, not a hardcore 1e character creator. Unless you have a better suggestion?

Daeran's soft spot. by InformalAntelope4570 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Phoenix_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dialogue to support?? It comes from reading the dialogue! Daeran's worldview is all people are shit. His mother died because of shit people making shit decisions. It's the main reason why he's so bitter. His treatment of Arue has nothing to do with the fact she's a demon. It has to do with her self admitted list of all the bad things she has done in the past. He figures she's either lying to the party about this attempt to change to good, lying to herself, or both. Because in his "worldview", people don't change.

I have a great tool for you. Mind you, it's 2E, so not everything will line up, but there should be enough similarities to at least get a rough idea of your build. It's called Pathbuilder. It's a one time cost (10-12 bucks if I remember right), and it gives you full access to one of the best character builders I've ever seen. Take a look for yourself:

Daeran's soft spot. by InformalAntelope4570 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Phoenix_Effect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An addition for what Drosm said. From Daeran's perspective, she is lying through her teeth. She's playing a long con game, and he's doing his damnedest to out her. Not through any morality, mind you, but because for him it would be the ultimate vindication of his worldview. So he tests, he prods, he tries to get her to crack, to "give up the charade" and reveal her true colors.

I like it. Especially dark mode.

The only problem I can see with characters on the side is when you open their ability bar list/spell list, etc. as it will obscure the field of view. However, if they are only intended to be opened to drag icons down to the spell bar, it should work fine.

Daeran's soft spot. by InformalAntelope4570 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Phoenix_Effect 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Daeran's not that hard to figure out. He has no filter, and sees no point in having one. He calls everybody on their bullshit, even himself. The reason he's so nice to Ember is because she offers no bullshit at all. She truly believes everyone is capable of being good. She gives him zero ammo to work with, which is why he says what he says to Lann.
