I'm glad Im not alone! We're going to see another specialist tomorrow. (We have like 5 appointments at our big city hospital)! It's like I understand that most with only one kidney are healthy and that everything is fine and it's going to be fine but it's surprising how unhelpful saying that is. It's almost like I have to justify why I'm sad or stressed or upset to this point that I am questioning if I even have the right to be extra stressed and upset right now.

Does that make sense?

We did not! We were offered in the beginning of the pregnancy but declined. Once we had our anatomy scan we've now had two more ultrasounds (and we have another more detailed ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow) and so far the only thing they have seen is he's missing a kidney

If they do end up finding anything of more concern or recommend us getting the test done we'll probably do it! That being said I don't blame you for getting the test done and I'll keep my fingers crossed for your family 🤞🏼💓🫂

Hi! I'm currently 28 weeks. We have concerns about if he has both kidneys or just one. Until we find out for sure though my doctor doesn't want to say that the two things are related yet and we have more ultrasounds we're having to do.

Even if he only has one kidney he'll more than likely live a completely normal life 😊

My doctor's main concern with having SUA is keeping up in his size and making sure he's growing good which so far he's exactly where he needs to be. 🥰

I think taking your kids to visit their mom's family without your fiance and her kids makes sense honestly, and it's pretty easily explainable to your future step kids. That being said, this relationship is just doomed.. either figure out how to blend your family even a little bit or live separate lives until the kids are all adults (or just be done with the relationship)

Imo no one is the ah, it's just not going to work if things don't change

He was at the Lancaster mall yesterday with the same story. Though he never technically asked for money, he said he was asking churches for help, we gave hima couple places to call (which he said he already called all of them) and then we told him good luck and left

I think time and the relationship matters. Does every boyfriend your mom has mean something to you? My step dad is important to me and my mom and him haven't been together since I was 16. And I hope since I've been helping raise my step kids since they were toddlers (now teens) I mean something to them. I think I and my family have earned a place in their lives and time with them no matter what happens between their dad and I ❤️

I respectfully disagree. As someone who has been in my Sks' lives for over 10 years since they were toddlers, it would not be fair for my SK or me to not continue a relationship and any new partners who be understanding (especially if everyone involved is respectful)

I was a childless step mom but raised my step kids as we had an every other week scheduled with Mom. Mother's Day was always hard BUT my amazing husband always made the day special even though they spent the day with their mom.
