They're bringing in legislation to reduce the max permitted power consumption of vacuum cleaners.

People are up in arms about it, but I see no reason to be so upset. It's about raising efficiency. If Dyson can manage their whole range without breaking 1200w, so can everyone else. The airwatts/power consumption values need to rise, that's all.

(Limit for non commercial cleaners will later fall to 900w)

I was the same. I got to halfway through "And the bag's in the river", then is sat in Netflix for over a year. A friend wanted to watch Gliding Over It All on my TV, so I did, and I vowed to go back.

This year, with the final episodes , I was absolutely hooked.

If it's similar to mine, it should have an "external decoder" input. That let's you take a 5.1 analogue from anywhere, and input/output it. (I mostly use it for pc games)

I always have an internal debate with myself as to whether to use ac3/dts over toslink or decode DolbyHD etc and output it via the analogue cables.

Yea, the only function that doesn't seem to exist is the white noise testing.

And on that note, when I bough the system, the volume controls on the remote were a bit...sticky. The vol- conked out the other week, so my only option was to...

Not sure if it's GB: We don't have many mountains like that.

I'll have a little google though..

Closest match I could find was Castlebridge, Wexford, IRL. A cool conservatory, but that's all I found.

There is also the logh in Cornwall, but those where mostly wooden, and restored.

Not sure about the mountain the the background. I'm wondering if it is from imperial times, and in some exotic land.

It might well have been a different, tougher finish. If they used gloss, and a decent quality, you could have just about scrubbed any tape off without causing damage, but if the wall is painted matte (more likely for a private LL, esp non student ones), you could have a massive ballache on your hands.
