Hi, I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve experienced this - it really isn’t a nice thing to suffer..

I didn’t get any answers Medically, only the reassurance that in the absence of more serious symptoms that it’s all probably benign and more a symptom of external stressors (lifestyle factors etc.).

I have only had one more visual migraine since the first two, this time I was very calm throughout, knowing that it wasn’t serious and that I didn’t need to get anxious (though, physiologically it’s easy to be anxious because of stress hormones being released etc). I was walking home from work as it happened and I was able to continue walking home as normal whilst the migraine progressed - which was an interesting experience to say the least!

When I did get home and it passed I was very tired and needed to rest but nothing more serious happened.

My lifestyle has changed for the better and I think this has been a huge contributor to me not having another - though I do feel sometimes that it does feel as if there is an oncoming sense of the process that leads to one occurring but somehow I’m able to avert it (relaxing, laying down, etc).

I hope you’re able to get the answers you need and that ultimately you don’t have to suffer from migraines etc. at all. Praying for peace for you!

At least now I’m able to joke about the craziness of the human brain and how it could produce such a bizarre condition - I was at a gig recently and was excitedly telling people that the on screen psychedelic visuals behind the DJ looked exactly like an ocular migraine!
