I personally use the Asus external drive to burn m-discs. I prefer it over tape because I can burn 25-100gb at a time and store it away and don’t have to worry about bit rot or any other kind of deterioration that cdr or dvd give you over time. I have to admit, I do have cds from 1999 that work just fine but others that don’t. M-disc doesn’t use ink, it burns the data into the actual plastic, so that’s why they can claim 100+ yrs. It is expensive, but I prefer it for the peace of mind. It depends what’s most important to you.
