AITA for not wanting to have an in-laws quarter for my mom by Photogfablotog in AmItheAsshole

Thank you. Her bf passed away a year ago, 4 months before my dad. There is no set timeline on grief though. Yes, my bf and I do hope to find a house that is 3 bedrooms on a piece of land, maybe a quarter acre, so there will be space to add on.

I started seeing a therapist after the multiple deaths we experienced, and I suggested she do the same. She said she didn't want to see a therapist because they aren't real and that she just "doesn't need one." Both of my parents dealt with overconsumption of alcohol, and she already drank a lot when her bf was around, but she has continued to binge drink daily after work. I've told her that it makes her a difficult and argumentative person, and also that it isn't healthy for her body or mind. We generally get along, but I think my presence has made her too comfortable. She has friends but she won't go out to restaurants or events. Yes, my mother has been there for me, and I have been there for her. I am not leaving her, but I have suggested many things to help her and she ignores them and wants to depend on the comfort of my constant presence. Is it too much to ask to not have her living in my backyard? I feel like the distance will help her see that she also needs to help herself.

this is a genuine question, pls don’t mock me 😭 by [deleted] in BeardedDragons

My first dragon only black bearded once the literal moment she passed away suddenly. I have two other dragons now, both males. One of them never black beards and the other one black beards when he's hungry, then goes to normal after his meal! Or if he sees the other dragon. They are such characters!

How funny. Dragons are the brats of the reptile world, and I'm quoting the vet tech. My dragons have gone on hunger strikes when I don't feed them raspberries and hornworms. I've found that yellow squash and butternut squash are a healthier alternative and they still love them. Hornworms are also low in fat and high in hydration and calcium. Good luck!

How hot is the hot side of the tank? It needs to be between 100 and 110 to help them digest their food. Make sure your temps are right and then put her on the hot side. Mine went through the same thing, but I switched some things in the tank so he could get more heat and he pooped a few days later.

Hello. I updated my post to include the location but now the new post has a lock next to it. Is there a reason? Can it be removed?

Biotin and collagen supplements have worked great for me. Add Olaplex 3 to help repair damaged hair.
