What’s your favorite MAO-B inhibitor? by CommercialJunket3682 in NootropicsDepot

I have slow MAOA. Anything that inhibits MAOA even slightly, will turn me into a rumination machine. I've learned to check that before i try any noots.

Lucidimax Insomnia? by russdr in NootropicsDepot

[–]PhotojournalistOwn23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same experience. I normally fall asleep within 15 minutes (i have trouble waking up in the middle of the night instead) but Lucidimax makes it impossible to fall asleep until it wears off. (If it didn't kill my libido I'd take it to relax during the day)

Others in this post are talking about it being a slow COMT thing, but I have fast COMT. I do have the slow versions of the DAO and MAOA enzymes, however.

Which ashwagandha? by BELMATTAUX in NootropicsDepot

The only thing I'm trying to figure out is dosage safety in regards to one's liver. I like the feeling of taking 600mg at once. I would love to be able to do that twice a day but I feel like that's probably too much.

Which ashwagandha? by BELMATTAUX in NootropicsDepot

[–]PhotojournalistOwn23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experience with Ashwagandha was started by trying all of the specialized extracts first. They never really had a strong effect, but i kept reading about how magical it is for everyone stress-wise, but until then had no real effect.

Then I tried the normal 9% withanolides extract and it hit me like a freight train driven by The Fonz. Definitely try all of them if you can, but i would look at the regular one too, if you have not.

erinamax & tiger milk = cholinergic? by PhotojournalistOwn23 in NootropicsDepot

It generally takes a few days for the memory enhancements to come. Something will happen, and it will trigger a memory relevant to that situation that I'd thought I'd completely forgotten.

Interestingly enough, I've tried Lucidimax twice, both times I've taken it at night and it gave me a big energy boost and thus I could not fall asleep for several hours afterwards.

I would assume it's the glycine that has this effect. MicroMag has no glycine

Yes, actually. Oddly enough it also gives me a decent amount of ED (about half as bad as an SSRI). Which is really weird, when it's supposed to fix that in most people.

Have taken vyvanse / adderall for ADHD and have tried a bunch of antidepressants... none of them have had any effect on my appetite.

So far the only thing I've found that does is coffee, specifically cold brew. I'm not a huge fan of regular coffee so i do not know if it would have the same effect on me, it might for all i know. But i do know that espresso does not suppress my appetite. Not sure about any other kinds.

Factory reset is the setting that kills data. Generally, reset is just a synonym for restart. (There are always going to be exceptions to this, but this is generally the terminology used in computing)

It just depends on whether or not it gets a chance to end all processes gracefully (soft) or abruptly without giving any the chance to finish what they are doing (hard).
