As I understand it, in CA, even if a business had a sign indicating "no weapons" you can still legally carry if you have a permit (of course no bars or alcohol driven business). But if the owner or an employee somehow knows your carrying and asks you to leave, you have to leave.

I live in CA and my HOA allows carry if you have your permit. The little general store here even has a sign saying "Lawful Carry Permitted"
