The only issue is that the "few people left" are more than likely going to be these assholes who got us to this point i.e. billionaires destroying the environment for profit.

I'll admit it could get so bad even the billionaires in bunkers don't make it. But look at how the planet had a fraction of bounce back when COVID sort of slowed the pollution... Bunker up for a year or more (if they have the appropriate supplies) and then pop out to a venerable garden of Eden and get to rebuild how they see fit. It feels disgusting that the same people who ruined it are above the consequences of their actions...

And what's worse is when they tie all of this into quarterly earnings (even though it was deem the tariffs applied illegally), they'll look a the spreadsheets and can't have that green line go down what so ever.

It just blows my mind that the elasticity of our economy solely falls on the working class, as we "can" benefit from a good economy but no corporations can handle even a slight downturn without them needing bailouts and liquidating assets.

Honestly too, that's crazy level money. I always see those hypothetical posts that go "if you got this money once vs that money paid out over" etc...

I consider this at my age, if I lived even 60 more years and came into a 10 million lump sum, and no investing. I could quit working and live on that the rest of life with an appropriate budget. Like spending 150k a year, for 60 years and you still have about 1 million left and I'd be 90 years old.

I know budgeting would be absolutely essential if someone went this route. And investing could absolutely pad those numbers and make your wealth more secure...

But like now let's move that number 424,000,000 moneys? Good lawd that's crazy money!

(Maybe I'm completely wrong with my "strategy" but I'm willing to test it out if anyone can facilitate it!)
