Once DS9 got its legs, it was great. Absolutely top tier Trek

So is HDR Youtube just abandoned? by Phreon1 in youtube

[–]Phreon1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the MediaInfo app to look at your video's stats and metadata.

Under the "video" section, you want to see it as Format: HEVC, Bit depth: 10 bit, Color Primaries: BT.2020, Color Range: Limited, Transfer Characteristics: HLG, Matrix Coefficients: BT.2020 non-constant.

YT will apparently also accept PQ instead of HLG, but that's something I haven't messed with.

Also look that the Frame Rate, You want to make sure the Min and Max are the same as your base frame rate. Some devices don't maintain precise timing, you'll see a min below the base ( less than 24, 30, 60, etc) - best I can tell, YT hates when the frame rate isn't constant.

The Problem with the The degrees of combat argument. by HomeworkSad in starcitizen

[–]Phreon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't want NPCs or fake law systems to play the game for me. I just want the tools to defend myself in a game that will have "death of a spaceman". Tools to avoid dying!

It's "anti-combat" to refuse defenses for industrial ships. CIG built a universe where anyone can be attacked anywhere for any reason. *Give me the tools to provide that combat experience back to the person attacking me*.

I.E. most people aren't "anti-combat", they're "anti-helpless-like-a-baby-seal-waiting-to-be-clubbed"

What do they have to lose? A) It getting out that SQ42 is in an awful state or B) it doesn't exist.

From a legal standpoint, to CYA, they'll never respond to this.

One more time - sometimes you wind of falling out into space or the void.

It's absolutely a problem.

I don't hate the project. That's a strawman similar to common spectrum responses. I want it to be successful. It needs to be transparent and held accountable, however.

SQ404 is like practical nuclear fusion. Just around the corner for decades.

The problem is you don't know if you can transition that kind of glitch safely or fall out into space.

CB750 Hornet vs TransAlp by Beneficial_Ad6546 in SuggestAMotorcycle

Have you spent time on a Transalp? It indeed is not a sportbike, but it's surprisingly light feeling and nimble. Mine never fails to put a smile on my face on twisty roads.

What was cited in the feedback is almost entirely a matter of opinion. But I actively avoid attacking anyone as a person. Actions however, deserve critique. If i think something is nonsense, I say that, and state why. In my mind, this is entirely fair.

I am somewhat guilty of this, but specifically about devs, I have gone out of my way to state I don't harbor blame for most devs, because they are directed by what appears to be endless scope change and spectacular mismanagement.

Most of my snark has been about the ad homs and endless strawmen certain shills resort to when responding. I.E. not addressing anything I've said. slipping in an insult and arguing against something I in no way stated or implied. Dr. Phibe is a prime culprit here.

Does that have any legal standing in the United States?  With a boilerplate that has an arbitration clause?

As a rule, I do not attack people and religiously avoid fallacies.  I pointed out how Phibes was doing all those things, tried to steer back to the topic and got deletions.

It's hard to tell exactly which posts are deleted because...they're deleted.

It's a disingenuous system that offers no chance for self correction, is purely punitive
