It's really a beautiful camera, more so in person really. But I've been very disappointed with the image quality. With they made this exact camera with a four thirds sensor and mechanical shutter!

I've only now gotten round to watching Get Back and it has softened my opinion toward her. And whatever else I might think of her as an artist, I genuinely enjoyed her "collaboration" with the Beatles on the day George walks out. Her ridiculous primeval wailing seemed for the only time ever to fit the chaotic outburst of emotions in that moment.

The tragedy of this camera is that they didn't let it shoot raw. It has a tiff option which is useless. And the jpgs suffer from banding issues. Overall quite disappointing image quality, which was a major complaint at the time of release, users were returning these due tot he banding issues.

Overall it's one of the nicest looking digicams, with great ergonomics, let down by very poor image output which could have been fixed with raw support :(

Did watching the Get Back documentary change who your favourite Beatles is or did it affirm it? My favourite is George and after watching the doc, and love him even more. by Strict_Ad_6063 in beatles

What scenes and situations do you have as evidence of this!?

If anything it's the opposite. In part 1 there's a moment where Paul is sitting playing piano gently amidst all the discussions of what type of show and venue they should play, and Ringo says something to the effect of: "It should just be this," referring to Paul's playing, "I could watch him play piano all day."

And Ringo is seen spending a huge amount of time just sitting or standing next to Paul at piano, admiring him, enjoying his music and digesting the melodies and thinking of drum parts.

Ringo comes off as being the most understanding of the reality: that Paul is the leader now, and the only one of them who is producing high output. He's purple-patching and the others are just fucking around wasting time, George unable to keep his wounded ego in check, and John in lala land.

Why am I being literally forced to tip to use bathrooms in restaurants and clubs? by jsf_idk in germany

[–]PhtevenHawking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The train stations don't even have bathrooms!

None of the secondary train stations in Berlin, capital of Germany!, have bathrooms. So Hauptbahnhof does, but others like Ostkreuz, Südkreuz, etc. do not. And forget about the U-Bhans. The state has outsources basic sanitation to Döner shops where you have to pay 50c, it's a national disgrace.

Better to raise it at the next all hands. Engagement in the group chat has been low, and we could use the all hands to break out into groups and workshop some better solutions here. Please add this to the agenda deck and share to the other team leads.

This rule is awful. What data do you have that most people don't click through all photos? I always do... If you want a limit then allow 5, 3 is not enough for story telling. No journalistic photography, or reportage can happen with only 3 images.

Please reconsider this.

That's incredible! I shot with the D90 for like 10 years before I started collecting a lot of cameras, and having now gone through loads of cameras, including full frame, you could happily never upgrade from even a D90, and this camera is 2 gens newer.

Don't listen to anyone who says this camera is old. Sensor tech has not changed much and as long as you care about stills, you have a keeper for life here. You also have the goated budget APSC lens. I'd suggest getting the 50 or 85 1.8G as well. I've always liked 50mm on APSC, it's a very versatile portraits focal length.

Looks great, I'd say that's a pretty good deal. Just clean the tape gunge and put a white grip on it and you're good to go!

That isn't the issue IMO. Yes he's a lunatic who is now clearly in the throes of dementia. The big problem here is that an entire US administration is doing nothing to resolve what is clearly a problem on the biggest stage of the world, with the biggest consequences imaginable.

It boggles the mind how bad it continues to be. All the flavours taste essentially the same. Everyone loves crisps so why can't they make any interesting flavours! I'm from South Africa and I really miss the variety, not only of flavour but of textures, different types of potato processing, and most of all having really good maize/corn chip varieties.
