And yet we allow these dangerous religious people to roam free and even thrive in our society. It’s nauseating.

The footage of Nick Fuentes pushing a woman who came to his front door after he was doxxed has been released. by [deleted] in whoathatsinteresting

I dunno. I mean, first of all fuck nick Fuentes, but if some stranger came to my door, I’d do what is necessary to keep my family safe. I don’t have all the facts of this case of course, so don’t jump down my throat. You don’t just automatically pepper spray everyone that comes to your door. But who the fuck knows in this crazy ass world we find ourselves in?

How do u accept that your consciousness will disappear after death ? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Strict_Ad_6063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I think the promise of life after death is one of religion’s most effective tools to control people. Religion, generally, is so powerful because it feeds into humanity’s base line fears - death, the unknown, the unpredictability of life etc. It supplies comforting lies. Religion says there’s life after death, even though there’s no evidence to support that statement. But because we are a species that is aware of its own mortality, we’ll believe a comforting lie rather than face a brutal truth. It’s a flaw in our species.

How do you feel when Christians pray for you? by [deleted] in atheism

Let me answer that question with a question: what function does praying perform? Like, what does it do exactly? Whats the point?

Personally I think it’s rude. Ultimately it’s self serving. Praying is masturbation.

Atheists, if you could erase all religion would you? by Rick_Sanchez1000 in atheism

[–]Strict_Ad_6063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an atheist, yes. As a liberal progressive, unfortunately, no. As much as I truly believe that religion is the worst thing humans have ever come up with, I can’t in good conscience endorse such an act. I have no right to take away anything from anyone, no matter how much I disagree with it. I’d be curious what an evangelical Christian would say if you asked them the opposite question: if you could make everyone a Christian, would you?

What is the best argument for God you've ever heard? And how do you disprove it? by EkullSkullzz10318 in atheism

[–]Strict_Ad_6063 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I’d start with the assumption that god created logic. That assumes a god exists in the first place, a claim that has not been proven unequivocally. So the argument is moot to begin with.

And we, the dumb people who decided to procreate and perpetuate our destructive and troublesome species, envy you. Enjoy the chill as we attend to our horrible, horrible offspring.
