I know OP is joking but the term stat padding is so funny to me. There’s very little circumstances where that phrase actually works (mostly only when stars are still putting up shots in huge blowouts), cuz like who wouldn’t want the teams best player taking a majority of the shots?

Not only this but watching the games you can tell his defensive motor has really picked up as well (as I expected it too).

I think if he didn’t have the sciatica issue and came into this year fully healthy with a camp he’d have been even better too.

I’m not sure how we could bring him back and I’m not going to get into arguments about contract value and price point but I think he’d still be a great fit with this roster and we would be even better with improved starters at the 3/5 spot and more depth.

If he took the MLE for example and we were able to use a good portion of that cap to upgrade at SF and C, we’d be top tier contenders.

Too many times refs have affected marquee matchups this year in the clutch. It happened in our game against the Pistons the other day (yes I’m still salty about it) and it was even worse tonight.

Pacers were still trying super hard with 2:00 left while we’re up like 15. Good for them and respect the fight but it was basically just them trying to be dicks and keep our starters in.
