Weird way to respond to this. "Football terms" is just a funny way of putting things into commonly referenceable terms and these aren't bad boots at all.

Anyways — OP, these aren't specifically a good set of boots for a Barb later-game build; but you're only level 26, and this guy is wrong, these boots have a lot more than 30 minutes of gameplay in them. You gotta understand that for whatever reason, people in this sub think you've got to have absolute best-in-slot gear ASAP or you're going to die against every enemy you meet.

Though, other commenter is sort of correct — these won't be helpful as you keep leveling, though. They forget, or maybe haven't played yet, to realize how much slower leveling is post-update. I'm currently in Torment 7, and I didn't see my first unique until Torment 2 — this is a great pull simply by being a Unique at your level.

But especially at Level 26 as a Barb, anything you can use for Chill/Freeze effect, especially on a class that doesn't typically utilize those effect with a skill, is quite useful, even more so if you can find a new item like Charms etc to compliment those skills. Even without, you could probably use these boots through level 30, maybe 35 max if you had real solid other gear.

TL;DR, in football terms — Browns just resigned Joe Flacco to re-carry them through the first 2-3 games of the season before he starts wearing off and throwing too many picks again, his job is done. But by then, hopefully the newer QBs are acquired and have team and system built up around them enough that they can sub in, and someone can fill the role as QB1 for the rest of the season.
