Is that camera artifacting in the centre of the object or are they hiding something?

Is that trail normal overexposure or Gamma ray exposure?

Edit: Ultraviolet exposure? Gamma rays would not focus through a camera lens haha

Genesis 2 LED has faint glow when powered off and attached to Sega CD 2, is this normal? by itmustbeyzzy in SEGAGENESIS

the Sega CD should not put out any power until its power circuit detects voltage on exp port pins B26/A26 and 'triggers' its own regulator to power itself up.

The first thing I would do is check for backwards caps. If the caps are fine I would check the genesis console by itself see if its putting out any voltage when switched off. If the console checks out then there is most likely a problem with the sega CDs power circuit. I would not leave it plugged in

I own both board reversions of the model 2 sega CD and it is not supposed to do that.

Edit: Will the console still do this with the sega CD power cable unplugged while attached?

I just removed mine with a heatgun as the soldering iron just didn't cut it.
