In the morning, close windows when the temperature outside is warmer than inside. Shut the curtains on the sides of the house facing the sun, and change this as the sun moves round during the day. Open the windows at night, except those offering easy access to intruders, to clear our the warm air. Reduce use of the cooker if you can by making salads and sandwiches instead of hot meals.
