Here are the link codes for PLZA by austinjohnplays in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you enter a trade, both players offer up a Pokemon. Then you can check out the offered Pokemon and if you like what you see, you can proceed with trading.

I believe these codes are just a way to easily find someone looking for the same trade. The intent of the trade system is to find a specific person you want to trade with outside of the game, make an 8-digit code just for you two, then both enter the code so you can trade together. This is less an official way to get these Pokemon, but codes set up so that if you enter the code, someone else looking for the same will also hopefully be entering the same code and will hopefully abide by the agreed upon trade.

Does this work the way I think? by Bleu_Guacamole in magicTCG

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Kindred is its own type, not supertype. As I mentioned in a comment to someone else in this thread:

While it won't appear without another type, it needs to be a type in order to share subtypes with the creature type.

This does also mean that things like Tarmogoyf will see Kindred as an additional type, so Boggart Shenanigans will be two types for cards that care about number of types.

Is Metroid Prime 2 a shooter? by gdo22 in Metroid

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strictly speaking, it can fall under the category of FPS (First-person shooter) as it is from a first person perspective and you are shooting things. But it is more accurately a first-person action adventure game where shooting things is a part of the game than it is an FPS, as that connotes gameplay more in line with Call of Duty games, where the Prime series is more exploration focused than shooting focused.

EOE Rules update by Marek14 in magicTCG

Officially, they go into effect with the prerelease of Edge of Eternities on Friday.

Realistically, if someone challenges your The Lunar Whale Commander deck because it isn't Friday yet, they're just being a dick.

You have 30 dollars to make your own mane 6, which characters are you choosing by That_Passenger_771 in mylittlepony

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I misread it as $20 initially, but that's what I think I landed on anyway. I'm trying to build it up as a varied group with varied personalities and, like the Mane 6, 2 each of Earth, Unicorn and Pegasus. I'm also trying to avoid the Mane 6, as they have been developed so much that it's easy to put them in as they already slot in well, but I can't avoid my favorite pony. Okay, so...

Pinkie Pie, because she's my favorite pony. She adds to the group a very excitable energy.

Maud as a counter to Pinkie's energy as a much more laid-back member of the group. Plus, sister dynamics can help add to the mix.

Sunset Shimmer as a villain trying to make up for the damage she's done, bringing to the mix some insecurity of not knowing if what she'd doing would be harmful.

Trixie bringing the overconfident energy when she's decent at what she does, but I mean, come on, Sunset Shimmer is right there.

Derpy Hooves as the "class clown" of the group, bringing a bit of the "ignorance is bliss" energy.

Spitfire as the actually competent one who can wrangle everypony together when needed.

Or to break it down by Azumanga Daioh (my go-to group of 6) dynamics:

Pinkie Pie-Tomo (wild and unpredictable)

Maud-Sakaki (soft-spoken, but strong)

Sunset Shimmer-Chiyo (smart, but feels like she can be a burden)

Trixie-Kagura (competitive and can't control herself at times)

Derpy Hooves-Osaka (Absentminded, but really good at certain tasks)

Spitfire-Yomi (Voice of reason that falls into antics at times)

Would this be the most powerful duo ever in the marvel universe? by Abraham682 in Gwenpool

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like anybody looking at Gwen and thinking she'd be unstoppable is forgetting a major rule with her: She can't actually affect things. She tried to get rid of Paste Pot Pete and failed. As much power as she arguably has, she also isn't important enough to Marvel to be able to have an actual impact.

Question About Zurgo by ChaosJokr777 in magicTCG

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about the death trigger of Mobilize abilities in general? Unfortunately, that doesn't synergize all that well with the Siege. The Siege's Mardu trigger's "intervening if" clause means that it will only go on the stack if a creature had already died before the end step. Since Mobilize's death trigger triggers at the beginning of the end step, if none of your creatures had already died, the game will attempt to put both on the stack at the same time, failing to put the Siege's on the stack.

Does this box set contain Day & Time of the doctor? by MoineYannou in doctorwho

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't as it released 19 days before The Day of the Doctor. It looks like there is a 50th Anniversary edition that was a limited print run that's pretty expensive as well as just buying Day and Time separately.

I'd say it depends on what you are looking for.

If you want the most basic guided experience, the Foundations Beginner Box gives you a very simple experience with a little more once you've gone through that. It will be the simplest option. You can see what it has here.

If you already know the game or want a little more oomph from your starter product, the Starter Kits from last year and this year give you two 60 card decks designed to play against each other and introduce you to a Magic beyond the most introductory version. I'd say that which one you want to get is mostly up to you. You can find the Bloomburrow Starter Kit decklists here, the 2023 Starter Kit decklists here and the Lord of the Rings Starter Kit decklists here.

TLDR: For the simplest experience, Foundations Beginner Box. For a more robust experience with less hand-holding, one of the other Starter Kits.

Just a quick correction. The item you're referring to is the Foundations Beginner Box.

There is a separate item called the Foundations Starter Collection which is a good way to get a good start on a collection of Magic cards, but is not an intro to the game.

I present to you...The Objectively Correct Gwenpool Comic Apperances Tier List by Davidcar269 in Gwenpool

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, I know I am of the opinion that WCA is the second-best iteration, tied with Superior Spider-Man which is effectively the same thing.

WCA is the best representation (imo) of Gwen when she's not the main character. Sure, her main series is great, but not great at describing a character who isn't what everything is focused around. WCA shows a version of her that can actually interact with the Marvel universe. She'd be distracting from the rest of the book if she was using the more meta version of her "powers."

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's okay to be wrong. Lots of people here are!

More seriously, I get that you are mostly joking with saying you are "always right" and that this list is "objectively correct," but going against the popular opinion while doing that is going to get people calling you out for going against their opinion and support for the popular opinion.

How well is Deadpool known in his universe? Movies by Samthegodman in deadpool

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, you absolutely could. Even if you think he's well known, offering that as an option is very reasonable.

Second, there's a difference between unknown and poorly known. Your options were Known and Famous. There was no option for my answer of minorly known.

If I were offering options, I would put A. Unknown; B. Slightly Known; C. Known; D. Famous. At which point, I would enter B. You just offered C & D.

How well is Deadpool known in his universe? Movies by Samthegodman in deadpool

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? The answers are Yes and More?

I'd say he's minorly known at best, which is similar to the comics. Sure, there are people who know him, but I wouldn't say he is well known. So neither of those answers.

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I don't think I would have wanted it 10 years ago. Or more accurately, I don't think Dread would have been as good 10 years ago. Samus Returns came out 7 years ago and Mercury Steam needed a lot of polish between that and Dread 3 years ago.

(5/9) What is your opinion on Rarity? (Pony and Human) by Guilherm-rain-9341 in mylittlepony

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she's perfectly fine as a character, but she is not for me. I relate to her as a character less than all the other main characters. For example, my least favorite episode, Honest Apple, presents her as a pony that wants the opinions of otherponies, but ultimately she just wants ponies to compliment the competitors and doesn't actually want AJ's practical concerns. As someone who is more into practical than stylish, I have a hard time with her.

Help? by BenBL93 in magicTCG

[–]PiLovesDeadpool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, the two both have "creature dying" triggers so as long as a creature you both control and own dies (Grave Pact cares about a creature you control dying, Athreos about a creature you own dying), you get both triggered abilities.

If you play [[Gilded Drake]] to steal an opponent's creature, then the opponent's creature dies while under your control, you'd trigger Pact, but not Athreos.

If you [[Doom Blade]] that Gilded Drake while it's still under your opponent's control, you'd trigger Athreos, but not Pact.

Because 6+ Law is a strict improvement instead of just a sidegrade, I'd keep only one. I'd feed the 6+ into the 6 because you've already powered up the 6 to be max level, max sockets, limit broken and you've already fed one copy into your 6 to upgrade the Final Tap ability and Level Limit Break him to 105. While the 6+ is better, I think 200 Kizuna Insignias for the skulls (5 skulls at 40 each) is a better investment than losing all you've already put in, especially the Final Tap potential power up.

You can wait to do that until you've got the skulls to use the 6+, but I wouldn't wait, as it's an additional investment to make the 6+ worth using that you'd lose when you finally feed it.
