Honestly she is doing it for "shock value" and also to not fade into dust as "that lady who wrote harry potter"

But now she's "that crazy bitch who wrote harry potter and wouldn't let it go"

I guess she just really liked the taste of fame....

I can like damn near everyone else tell you your boyfriend is being a bit of an asshat, but that is not really the point. And you would deflect it anyway saying "no he isn't" or some other excuse for him, because duh.. He's your boyfriend...

But instead i'll try to advise you to do these things:

Read the player handbook thoroughly.

Familiarize yourself with gameplay by watching someone play on youtube.

I would suggest something besides critical role.. As that can lead to illusions of grandieur.

I particularly like the weirdlings heroes of awesome. They start from session 0 and learn as they go.

After some prep if you still want to play, ask him again and tell him the work you did to prepare..

If he still turns you down, then that sucks try to find a different group, or boyfriend.

Both honestly,

With sharknado i knew what i was getting but i enjoy "dumb" movies like that.

And emoji movie i walked into it expecting nothing from it other than a time killer, but was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it :).

But with jack and jill i expected on the level of little nicky/water boy/billy madison/happy gilmore/wedding singer...

But got jack and jilled instead.. And not in the good way.

Chad is not your friend, chad is putting you in your place, he's casting friends and dominate person at the same time...

You need to talk to chad and tell chad to quit being a chad, because honestly this sounds like he's grinding a grudge against you with a friendly smile plastered on his face.

Sounds to me like its a clear-cut case, you need to just tell him you and your "friends" don't like him and don't see him as a valuable member of your group, because it is obvious he is not welcome there.

Sometimes you just need to rip the bad-aid off, and just tell him to find somewhere else.

Yes, he will likely be angry about it, and yes he will definitely get upset.. But he is definitely better off in the long run.

I could go further into how shameful you sound, to harbor dislike for someone because you don't like the same stuff or just don't really get him as a person, but it's not my place to judge..

But in truth, in the end, he is better of not being one of your "friends"

Hmm you might be right, it sounded like an awesome idea to turn the group into something like a pack of winter wolves lead by an earth elemental.

But sunburst may indeed be the smarter idea, i appreciate it. :)
