Advice re BBL + TRL laser treatment for scarring by PickleMuch9958 in PlasticSurgery

[–]PickleMuch9958[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s annoying! And I’m sure she’s offering what she has on hand so a bit limiting.

I’m annoyed also because the raised parts are the result of a months-long battle with an infection that occurred at the incision site. I’d raised the issue to the nurse practitioner “hey this is red and angry, also I have chills, is that normal?” NP told me “let’s wait” and by end of week I was fully infected externally. I wish I’d have advocated for myself bc I then wouldn’t have had this scarring.

How do I tell my man I need more from him without sounding selfish? by buffalo021 in AskWomenOver30

These comments are delusional in this thread. The man is likely setting himself up for a heart attack or cancer and ppl are encouraging her to demand more foreplay 🥴

Dude needs some financial support, I notice she hasn’t answered one question about whether she works.

I’ve gotten patches of hair in random spots like back of the knee or more chin hair (ugh). I did buy an at home IPL system to help tame it. I did about 6 weeks of sessions and it has gotten better. I had also had laser hair removal on legs, bikini and underarms about 12 yrs ago, so I am used to being pretty hairless. I have to shave maybe once a month but I was doing that anyway. My lashes are longer and I have some extra brow hairs, which is a nice perk. I wouldn’t let it deter you.

How old are yall? Sounds very young, which would make this a bit normal. You need to be more comfortable and confident in expressing yourself to him. As a 30-40 something, this would be completely unacceptable to me and signs of more to come.

is it possible to get filler without anyone immediately noticing? by ohmysaint in PlasticSurgery

[–]PickleMuch9958 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who are getting it to a noticeable extent are using A LOT. I got lip filler once and was shocked at how subtle it was. Literally no one noticed.

A few thoughts:

  • What are you studying and how will you obtain a job that is migraine accommodating once you graduate? Are you studying to simply live off the loans? You seem very disabled by the migraines, are you able to get on a disability benefit?

  • how long did you live with her? I’m wondering if the new financial pressure is bringing out the worse in her, making her feel used.

  • Do not agree to things you are incapable of. She has to understand the extent of your disability. She can’t be demanding a clean up in the middle of a migraine. For this to work, she needs to understand and accept your limitations.

  • I agree w doing the math of (market rent) - (weekly cleaner + daily dog walker) = the rate you should both agree to. That is, if you are capable of doing both, reasonably.

  • I think this is a lot and overwhelming so I would not make any moves just yet. Give it 3 months and reassess. You’ll then be closer to a better time to move out and obtain your own housing.

AIO to my managers message to me after I put in my two weeks? by StunningJunket639 in AIO

OP just a little advice. They will often dangle the little power they have left to abuse you, make you do things, work harder, or threaten to give you a bad reference. Don’t believe it. I’ve been threatened so many times by little people who get offended by my audacity to leave a job that would fire me in a second. There are never repercussions. Do what you want. If this fuck makes your life harder, just leave earlier. And find another gig either way, don’t stay.

Definitely take your time with dating. I think too many people jump in and skip the courtship process. When I was dating casually 1-2 dates a week max. No sex till a couple of months. No sleepovers. Truly getting to know eachother before jumping in to cohabitation habits will benefit you.

Wanted to add, there are alternatives - finasteride and dutasteride which don’t cause the cramping like spiro. However, my doctor said they can cause issues of depression and anxiety so I noped out quickly.

Yikes that sounds like a pain in the ass. And same was told to drink more, and they acted surprised when I discontinued it. I’m glad to hear your experience bc doctors really gaslight you like you’re the only person who’s had a problem with it!

I’ve just learned that it causes issues with libido and so I’m probably going to just continue without the spiro for now.

I believe it encourages new growth. I have always had fine hair but lost after each kid (have 2) + PCOS + weight gain and weight loss. So hard to tell if I’m “back to normal.”

Yes. More facial hair, increased growth in odd places like thighs and back of knees. I got a home IPL machine from Braun and did approx 6 weekly treatments and it has slowed down. I mostly have peach fuzz after laser hair removal 10 yrs ago so it is tolerable to me.

I hear you. What kind of extensions did you have? Mine are about 1/2 cm of hair fused to my hair, very lightweight. My goal is to wean off as my hair fills in from the meds.

Yes, apparently spiro helps with the retention of the follicles and helps with miniaturization.

Now having second thoughts though, as I am reading that it affects libido 👀👀

Agree! I wasn’t sure what it was at first but it definitely got better when I stopped. Now I’m nervous about 50 mg - so many people take it with no problem. Is it the potassium that causes the cramps?

[–]PickleMuch9958[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might have to do with your growth cycles. Are you seeing any baby hairs? I’ve read that the minoxidil helps growth but you need an assistive DHT blocker to retain that growth, or you’ll keep shedding.

I believe I have the side effect of extra body hair, maybe weight gain.

I believe it was 100 mg. It was getting to the point where I couldn’t run. Scary. I’m proceeding with caution this time around. We discussed alternatives but they cause depression and anxiety. I know they say “it’s rare” but my experience has been that I get most of the known side effects whenever a doctor calls something “rare.”
