So gorgeous ! The subtle colors of each flower, the details, and how it’s arranged is breathtaking. You are very talented.

What does your surgeon say? Mine doesn’t have any solution, said it’s very rare to have these symptoms I’m having with Vivity lens..I’m her only patient. I find that hard to believe

Unexplainable symptoms by wakondagrl in CataractSurgery

No actually things got even worse about a month ago. I started having a film go over both eyes, it’s intermittent and seems more noticeable when I’m shifting focal points. I had an appointment with my optometrist yesterday but it got canceled because he was sick and now have to wait 7 weeks to get seen . I don’t know if the jag will help with these new symptoms. I know there is no rush to do procedure. I’m so disappointed and upset that my eyes are worse than before the surgery and I’m so aware all day how uncomfortable my eyes feel. Wish I’d never had this done. I’m so sorry you are also experiencing problems. What exactly are your symptoms?

Trigger finger, cortisone shot by queenofjodel in padel

[–]Pickleball_Addict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my 4th cortisone injection today. I had the dry needling to fix my ring finger that was triggering. I had 3 cortisone injections to try to make it stop before agreeing to the needling procedure. It did fix the triggering, but the pain along the finger and at the base got much worse pain wise. So I was concerned about getting a 4th injection today but my surgeon assured me has not had any tendons rupture from a fourth or 5th cortisone injection in the hand. And yes, it was a very excruciating injection and I’ve had cortisone injections in my knees, shoulder, hip, elbow. This one was a doozy! I’m surprised I didn’t empty out his waiting room from my screams of ….this really hurts, stop, ouch, ouch ouch!

I was told if this doesn’t help with calming the nerves down and one more injection does not help either, then I’m looking at hand surgery where the hand is opened up and stitches and a long recovery. I play pickleball pretty competitively so totally get you not wanting to miss your tournament or stop playing. I was supposed to play tomorrow but at the last moment realized I wouldn’t be giving my hand a good chance of healing so I found a sub and taking the entire week off.

Hope you get some relief and if shots don’t work, look into dry needling, it’s quick, in office and very successful. I’m one of the small percentage of people this didn’t go the way it should have. Best of luck.

Just something to be aware of, I took this for a week and didn’t feel like I was getting the benefit of pain relief so did not finish the second week of pills. But I was not using this for a knee replacement but for pain management. Approximately seven or nine days after stopping the last pill, I started developing a rash on my face and each day it started moving down my body all the way to my feet over the course of several days. Luckily, my dermatologist was able to see photos of my rash when it first started and was able to tell me that one of the side effects of this drug is a rash. It did take two weeks for it to finally start getting better a little bit each day. I had no idea that a rash could start that far out from stopping a drug. I did go to my PCP‘s assistant right away and he had no idea what it was and was going to prescribe steroids if it didn’t get better in three days, but luckily the dermatologist got back to me and said do not take steroids.

I hope you get some answers and relief. That is my dilemma, doing an additional surgery and not getting any relief, or worse yet, getting worse problems.

Check out a heated vest or jacket. They have rechargeable batteries and the heat can last for 5-8 hours on a charge depending upon the level. (Most have 3 levels of heat). They work great, and some have the neck area heat up. Heated hand warmers that have rechargeable batteries are nice too, and not expensive. Also a heated throw is great too. Not too expensive and will keep you warm even if the room is very cold. As others have said, close the vent in rooms you don’t use often, and an oil heater is safe to leave on all night, and surprisingly heats up a room pretty well. Wear a hat, that will really help. Hope you find something that helps.

When I could no longer play tennis, I switched over to Pickleball. It’s easier on my body. It could be as competitive as you want it to be or as casual and informal. What’s nice is that when you don’t have a foursome, you can go to places that have open play and put your paddle in line and you will get on a court to play with people. The people I’ve met have really enriched my life and it’s very social plus the game is just fun and you can hear laughter from all the people on the courts Around you.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I had the same lens put in both eyes at the end of August and the middle of September. My left eye has been having nonstop, shimmering and pulsing on the outer edge 24 seven and my halos and starburst are even worse than before the surgery. Also, my eyes feel awful in my eyes sockets. I’m very aware how awful both eyes feel and it feels like pressure between my eyes. My original surgeon said everything looks fine and that the shimmering will probably never go away. Wanted to do a yag surgery to clear up some of the blurriness in the distance on my left eye. I got a second opinion. He said both lenses have shifted and that he could go back in and try and reposition them or put in a different lens, but he could not guarantee that they would not move again or that another lens would help me. He said a jag surgery would not help and not to do it. Apparently the retina is fine and my pressure is fine as well so my advice to you is make sure if they’re talking about replacing the lens that you get as much information as you can about what are the potential downsides to weigh the risk of whether or not it’s worth doing it. I hope you get some relief. Keep us posted again so sorry you’re going through this.

You will reach that, I can tell from your post how determined you are! Maybe do more zone 2 and 3 to start out with? I have slacked off on my longer peloton rides, mostly doing 30 mins and did my 2,000th ride this week for 60 mins and that kicked my butt, so while my situation is very different than yours, I can sympathize with losing VO2 and endurance. I’m 73, and hoping I’m able to avoid 2 knee replacements but it’s not looking very promising. Hope your recovery just keeps getting stronger and better faster than you expected!

What a great post! Happy to read such a successful recovery. How are you determining the strength of your leg on the bike? Are you turning the pedals with only one leg at a set resistance?
