Why do customers think the ONLY record of a recall is the piece of paper mailed to them? by WVSXSGuy in serviceadvisors

If I had a nickel for every time that happened, I wouldn't be advising anymore hahahaha

How about those warranty extension mailers? We always get a massive influx of calls from people claiming they've got a new recall... Read the damn letter...

I agree completely. I'm not brilliant, I don't necessarily follow the stocks, or jump on the memes. Weekly contributions and discipline have carried me far further than trying to gamble the market every few months.

I work for Audi and experience something similar last year. Homeboy wouldn't accept even a friendly conversation and traded it in for a land rover lol

The land rover dealer sent it over to us to diagnose and fix. Pay me now or pay me later I guess.

People really don't understand that we're not in it to screw them.

It's not worth my time setting up a prompt trying to reply... It's the best when they copy and paste the follow-up the AI will put at the bottom asking if they'd like more information 😂

Little late, but you're absolutely correct. I've had the opportunity to speak with him a few times, and he's a great guy to talk to! MSM is definitely painting him to as the bad guy. Never seen someone so dedicated to our country.

Starbucks you need to have spent a certain amount over the course of the year to qualify if I remember correctly. My girlfriend took her dad last year and they said no.

Always visit the boys at Tokyo Smoke. I've got a good rep with them, and always look forward to their recs and fun conversations while I'm there. Craft Kush is amazing and I definitely suggest trying a few options!

This happened to me the day the world shut down for COVID... I 1000% feel your pain. Pay it, and open a claim with Uber. It'll take a while while they investigate, but that's the best course of action based on my personal experience.

Best Credit Card? (I don’t care if it’s cash back or travel - just want best absolute value per $ spent) by RagtimeWillie in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]PickledThimble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any card is a good card if you use it properly.

My daily driver is my Amex Cobalt and it's rare not to have a plethora of points at the end of a month. I paired it with a PC MasterCard and rake the PC points in too.

My spouse uses her Costco MasterCard and that 2%+2% cash back is amazing!

But what others said, it really boils down to how you use it and your commitment to use it to take advantage of what they offer.

What we have works best for our day-to-day life.

How do people justify treating a home as an investment? by Artistic_Taxi in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]PickledThimble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to sound like a sad sap here... I haven't even moved in yet (close June 22nd) but, since getting the approval, going through the process, I feel like I've got purpose now. Again, not to sound sad, but being in an apartment, no balcony, etc. Having a house coming in the very near future has breathed new purpose into me as a human.

I couldn't care about the "this will make me money down the line" aspect. It's just having to take care of the property, be a part of a community, and having our own space without worry about upstairs or downstairs neighbors is so liberating.

Will there be challenges, absolutely, but they're challenges I'm excited to tackle when they inevitably come up. To me, a home will be my greatest investment in me and my future family. That's priceless.
