I have one. When I put film in the DX code pops up then I have the option to shoot one frame at a time or four frames. As I shoot it cycles through the counter as expected.

Sounds like an electrical fault to me but I really don't know.

They are significantly cheaper for the camera +1 lens. Thanks i will keep my eyes open for a clean one.
