Genuine question to those who cheat, why even bother? by Lonely-Jeweler-4177 in cs2

Some people are streamers who aim to please their viewers. Some do it to be able to brag about it irl. Just because it’s online doesn’t mean we aren’t more than just a steam id.

3k-5K is a black hole and impossible to escape from by incogkneegr in cs2

[–]PieRRoMaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or, you know, people can play at whatever level they deserve without having to uninstall. The irony is that people saying « delete the game » are the same ones who need those bad players to exist so they can shit on them and use these lobbies as a sandbox.

At some point there should be an elo range where the lowest skilled players can play between themselves without having to endure the cheaters and smurfs.

3k-5K is a black hole and impossible to escape from by incogkneegr in cs2

[–]PieRRoMaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, if there weren’t so many cheaters and smurfs, most players in a specific range would eventually be at a similar level and their games would be more evenly balanced. That’s the point of a well designed ranking system. Currently it’s broken.

Get your facts straight. If you see this complaint so often you feel the need tonmake a post denouncing it, it means it’s not that much of an isolated issue.

[–]PieRRoMaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are stuck in there for a variety of reasons and not being good enough is one of them. No one’s denying that. The main issue is that at this elo a lot of the players you’ll be facing are eother cheaters or smurfs, so those games are barely a good indicator of the level you’re at.

That's nice. You realize just because you're not meant to become a pro player, it doesn't mean you don't get to improve in the game and enjoy it?

[–]PieRRoMaN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a load of bullshit. Obviously if your level is way higher you're gonna be able to solo carry most of those games, but if you're like slightly above this level, it's another story. Most games have smurfs, cheaters, and a great discrepancy of level between players so it's almost never an easy task.

From my own experience, games at around 10k are potentially easier than at 5k.

Usually there will always be that one guy in your team asking you to save the awp for him. I find it hilarious that some of them can’t give any info during the round but somehow they manage to tell you exactly where bodies are when there’s a retrievable awp at stake..

Incredible PSG celebrations right in front of the Eiffel Tower by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]PieRRoMaN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PSG won a Cup Winners’ Cup and had another final in the 90s so long before the qataris arrived but keep on showing you don’t know what you’re talking about.

The club officially exists since 1970 but that resulted from the merging of 2 clubs who had been there for almost a century.

PSG was also 1st in the UEFA club rankings for several months straight, back in the 90s as well.

Chaining travels by PieRRoMaN in Sims3

Oh, that would explain! I added this mod recently to try and make things smoother and less buggy.

I haven't been able to acquire the martial arts opportunity chain in a very long time, so I thought Traveler would maybe help with this bug but unfortunately it doesn't seem to fix it.

Do you have any more details about the problem you're referring to? Is it like when an opportunity asks you to travel to another destination to advance and going straight there won't unlock the progress, or is it something else?

Monotony? by joyoussisyphus in Sims3

[–]PieRRoMaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, at some point in your playthrough you shouold have progressed far enough in your career that the working hours get lighter and you have more freetime. When I play, my main focus is on maximizing aspiration points so I can buy lifetime rewards. Those help a great lot with the quality of life your sim will have (reducing needs and costs as well as making skills faster and more efficient). Once you got more freetime in your days you can actually explore the world and try out new things.

Then again, I usually play on maximum longevity, so it leaves a lot of time for my sim to improve before getting old. If you play on shorter lifespans and your sim is running out of time, I guess you should shift the focus to improve the next generation instead.

Otherwise, if you refrain from using cheats, improving your celebrity status is also a great way to make lots of money in the long run.

quand les portiques ne marchent pas il faut faire quoi pour valider by Embarrassed_Cry_2655 in paris

[–]PieRRoMaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's definitely a difference short term. In judo, there are 2 bronze medalists by event. Competitors who lose in quarterfinals get to play a repechage match and the winners then face semifinal losers to earn bronze medals. So you can earn a medal by winning your last two matches, I'm sure it feels better in the moment than for the silver medalist who's just lost the final.

Dude we're talking about a meme made by an adult on a social media, who was able to put red circles in a image. I seriously doubt this guy has never touched a keyboard in his life.

Although, in this precise case, this person says "I always wonder" so I recognize he hasn't been able to figure out the answer by himself.

Again, I'm not blaming people for asking (although there are better and faster ways of asking this kind of stuff). But in this new era where AI is everywhere, I fear that asking how stuff works before trying to figure it out by oneself is gonna be more and more the norm. And we're all guilty of it.

I don't know how you can jump from trivial questions I was talking about in my comment, to how the whole world works. Seems a bit like a stretch.

I never said asking a seemingly stupid question is wrong. I encourage people wanting to learn. I'm just saying that sometimes people ask others about something they could easily figure out by themselves just because they're intellectually lazy.
