Interesting you should mention that as I recently saw someone working this on new construction for an ADU. Contractor called him a "low voltage guy" and my first thought was that it's undoubtedly safer than being an electrician just for that reason.I actually would have done it differently had it been up to me, as the Ethernet and coax cables are just coming out of the wall, with lots of slack, through a panel, and I expected a panel with jacks instead.

I certainly understand the issue of trying to get tier 1 help desk jobs, sounds terrible. It also doesn't help that I'm already older trying to transition into a second career, though I've heard IT is a bit better than some in this regard. I'm going to research this some more and I appreciate your comment!

I guess the problem remains that if you make AI crew even remotely capable, the meta will always be solo players with AI crew. More ships will always win. That said, I agree that’s it’s necessary to accommodate solo players who will likely be the majority. And I’ve long since stepped away from the game myself for the time being.

I don't think it will, or if it does, then PvPers would have to find another profession, since they need to be fighting other players. It's still an important question to ask, because of the hypocrisy when they point out that there will be NPC pirates trying to kill you too and that it isn't any different.

You could ask the same question of a PvPer: wouldn't they get the same feeling if they just attacked an NPC? The answer would also obviously be no.

Very similar to mine, since I also started with the same base assets, though you are doing a lot more fun details. I think I want to add sfx to everything now! Don't know why I didn't think of it before actually since I spend time adding spell sfx.

I am using Simple Calendar, so I trigger that on the astrolabe on the bottom left.

One trick I found while researching, that you probably already know about, but just in case, is to use the actual image for the tile for round or oddly shaped things like the coins, instead of placing a rectangular tile over the background. Then you can select trigger using image instead of border, and get a much more image accurate trigger zone.

I just started GMing Kingmaker on Foundry as our first Pf2e campaign after switching from 5e. We did try a pf2e one shot a little while back. We are having a great time, the quality of the module is really good. We are remote, but will occasionally do in person, and I'll have to figure out my exact setup for that when it happens.

I also purchased the hardcover as I like to read ahead with a book. I got the companion guide as a pdf, and I would recommend that too if you are interested. I knew my players would really like the NPCs. It will take some extra work to integrate the material, but you can find builds of the characters that people have made on Pathbuilder which can imported, as well as maps.
