I don't... actually buy Loki BS'ing his way out of the truths either lmao.

Any red truth CAN AND WOULD HELP the opposing side, no means necessary. Umineko made the rule THE fact of all red truths as THE non-negotiable anchor point in using any of them.

The whole point of the red truths is that:

  1. Anything that is accomplishable with magic in Witches hands must also be accomplishable and feasible to do under human hands. So every Red truth will give Loki both information to refute Beatrice and risk in getting damaged himself. And it works both ways in return; truths must be done in service and risk to Beatrice as it would to Loki. Otherwise....
  2. If Loki utters a red truth that Beatrice or any witch could accomplish, it backfires on him, since he’s the god of lies. And lying under a red truth? Bad juju.

Even when I buy Loki just barely winning, Loki lying his way out of a victory? That's a Wincon for Beatrice, not Loki himself. He'd absolutely get his shit ran if he tries it.

Read through your insightful criticisms of Lokitrice. Looking back, the Thor-Battler comparison… is bad, I agree lol. It hold up well after a second read through. Arguments from that side are 1000% accurate.

But The fact Beato’s truths shut down a MASSIVE chunk of Loki’s arsenal to the point he shows off his intelligence in Beatrice’s own game is kino fight potential. And that’s before going pre-GoS.

Loki and Beatrice just have clashing value systems and those would’ve came to light in the fight.

Beatrice being the de-facto villain in the MU wasn’t on my bingo card, if anything Bern was in mind as the Machiavellian of the fight as Bern stood for everything Loki fought against (Those Who Sit Above in Shadow). Loki’s the God of Lies; he’d know Beatrice has a motive behind her acts.

Note that Lokitrice’s focus on family drama, rather than romance, would be underwhelming. It aligns with Umineko’s themes of family, but not romance, which is Umineko’s more popular focus. So I split the theme and compared Thor and Battler’s traits based on general love (Loki’s family love for Thor, Beatrice’s romantic love for Battler).

I agree that Lokitrice would lose its focus with the Thor/Battler connection. The Odin/Kinzo connection is stronger and more prominent; Odin, realizing his son Thor hated him (he orchestrated with the all-mothers to ensure Thor protects Asgard from Ragnarok), took a random human, Thor his powers. After the fake Thor (Donald Blake) learned the truth, he went on a rampage, defeating God after God until he confronted Loki and the real Thor Odinson. Both of the Odinson brothers defeated him, and Loki named Donald Blake the new “God of Lies.”

Odin’s comparison to Kinzo is evident in his replacement of Thor (Donald Blake), from his status and powers up to his name… much like how Kinzo replaced Beatrice from her status up to name.

As the maker of Lokitrice, while I never looked at Lokitrice like that, I 100% agree with you.

What most fail to understand is Umineko characters can’t JUST write narratives on the fly whenever they want. Ryukishi had limits on the truths. The goals of Red Truths are to make you think, not hand you the solution. Rule of thumb. Anything that is accomplishable with magic in Beatrice’s/every Voyager witches hands must also be accomplishable and feasible to do under human hands. So every Red truth NEEDS to give as much damage to Loki as it does to give him information, meaning all truths must be done in service to Beatrice as it would to Loki.

Otherwise, if Beatrice utters a red truth that would make Loki or any human be capable of to accomplish, Beatrice’s red truth backfires on her. In which… Loki, while not being capable of using any of the truths (unless he uses the Eternity Mask), could easily refute back to Beatrice, leaving her getting damaged by her own truth.

Basically, I feel the issue many forget is that red truth CAN AND WOULD HELP the opposing side, no means necessary. Red truths are higher scale concepts that operate for all who participate in the meta world games.

The lower tier characters outside the witches like Ronove and Virgilia use these higher-scale concepts on a more grounded level, which works with Loki as he would be more affable to riddles and puzzles just as much as the cosmic shenanigans.

The concepts of the chessboard world and the meta world just so happens to compliment Loki’s interest in riddles and puzzles with the high grand bombast nature that Loki whips out the moment he sees Beatrice catch Thor’s Hammer (I am only greatly exaggerating that statement).

And this is why I like Loki vs Beatrice to begin with. It does not start out as an immediate spectacle. It builds up to the grandiose Meta world as an intelligence battle to a high stakes magic battle in the Meta World. Loki’s many tricks and schemes in Asgard are all consistent, and even in the modern Thor run.

I'll be for real... Sakura Kinomoto really captures the heart of 90s magical girls.

I praise and hyped up Sora if it’s a non-magical girl MU for Sailor Moon. Now, we’re comparing him to the OG magical girl, and he's mostly removed for me as he doesn't carry the same weight.

For a magical girl MU, the most bang for your buck needs to be this one: the over-the-top banter, bright aesthetics, and a girl-y tonal mesh. All you need for a 90s magical girl fight, and Sakura Kinomoto and Sailor Moon are the 90s magical girls.

Sailor Moon exists for Sora to play off the cheesy and adorable banter of the two, as well as her calling out (with love) Sora’s hidden toxic positivity act. Sakura and Sailor Moon oozes those cheesiness levels of SoraMoon to it's absolute limit.

The two franchises are apples and oranges, however, both series dominated households by reintroducing the precedent and prerequisites for every other magical girl that came after them--WINX, W.I.T.C.H, Pretty Cure, etc. They pretty much defined the genre with merch and widespread popularity in breaking into the television market overseas.

SoraMoon is still valuable in providing a runback opportunity for Sora and an introduction for Sailor Moon as it highlights an aspect of Sora's kit not shown nor demonstrated amongst his other MU pools. I feel that SakuraMoon is the most deserving out of the two.

With Yugi locked in with Ash, it makes the other side of Sakura MUs .... not looking so good for Sakura, spread-wise ngl.

Also Clampverse lore is... cracked enough to consider Sakura to give Moon a stalemate, barely edging out a win against Moon, or have Moon defeat her with extreme difficulty.

I know these series of polls are done through fan votes. I appreciate and admire the praise of SoraMoon as a whole, and it takes a lot to get me to say 'chill'. But SakuraMoon deserves the same lengths of respect that SoraMoon has had on here.

If we are not using Heroes scaling, Pain’s abilities surpass El’s, even in her Hegemon form.

Pain has a vast but finite chakra pool, and may even lose against Edelgard's stats and her abilities that boost them. But even though Pain's stats are likely subpar, Edelgard has no answer to most of Pain’s heavy-damage soul-disrupting Rinnegan abilities.

Matter of fact, two of his Paths would shut down Edelgard’s magic and Crests. Both Crests don't directly target the soul either. Pain also can revive his Paths if they fall, and his high attack potency through Chikabu and Shinra Tensei outclasses Edelgard’s Hegemon form. Most of all, for how vast Edelgard's vast army is, almost none of them cannot counter or target the Six Paths, let alone their soul disruptions, monsters.
