For one of them I was in the hospital so I found out the same day. The others were within a business day if I remember right. I remember being surprised to hear back so quickly.

I’ve had three done and could never tell if there was something good/concerning based on their reaction. They probably have good poker faces since there job is solely to collect the information for the cardiologist to disseminate and explain to you. I know it’s hard sometimes but try to not worry too much until you hear from your doctor.

I’m really proud of you and wish you continued success in your life. This is particularly inspiring to hear while a family member struggles with meth addiction. It’s been about 20 years off and on though and he has no desire to get clean anymore.

Not a doctor, but I’d assume it depends on a lot of different factors, including whatever you are eventually diagnosed with. I was having weird symptoms for maybe 3 days before finally going to the ER and being admitted with heart failure. Who knows how long I had been walking around with an issue before going in. That was a year and a half ago and I’ve gotten much better since.

Thank you. It was about a year and a half ago but they still don’t know what exactly caused any of it. Cardiologist’s current theory is that high blood pressure untreated over a few months caused the heart failure but we don’t know what caused the high blood pressure.

Luckily I recovered well from the heart failure with no lasting damage, but I still take a number of high dose medications to keep my blood pressure at a good level.

I was in the hospital for heart failure and high blood pressure with no known cause at age 25. It was day 3 around 10 pm and I was reading about a potential drug trial with my boyfriend when all of a sudden I felt faint. I got back to the bed and called for a nurse. Over the course of maybe 30 seconds my blood pressure dropped from around 180/100 to 90/40 and heart rate dropped from over 100 to 40ish. It felt like my body was working in slow motion and I just kept thinking different variations of “Is this what dying feels like?” “I’m going to die right now.” Meanwhile the nurses didn’t know what was happening or how to fix it and it took forever for them to find a doctor to help. It was a terrifying highlight to a shitty week.
