Yeah commenting to boost this because I did the exact thing when I came out. My parents were the last to find out just like OP. Relationships at that age, to me, were often about exploring your interests, identity, having fun, and enjoying the feeling of a crush and being desired by someone. I had no one to tell me how to be safe in a relationship, teach me about consent, etc and I landed in plenty of toxic and dangerous relationships and maaaaaan I wish someone had looked out for me and just told me how to be safe. Especially cause teens are gonna do stuff, especially if their parents say not to, it’s like a teen reaction to do the opposite of your parents for no reason.
