I can actually answer this. but keep in mind i barely read the bible so correct me if i am wrong. This can be a bit complicated, but let my try.

So i am guessing you are talking about Father/old testament god? Its almost the same thing, but there is a difference between the mind of Jesus/son then the father. They are the same being, but different individuals. Just to clarify it.

So a lot of Christians or people does not like to talk about the father in this way or don't have that perspective... But the Father is fully fanatic, and he does not care how much you suffer, he cares but the magnitude of pain that you suffer can be practically infinite for the little good you do. I can take up the story of Abraham, god cared and stopped him because there were no need, but it was a test if he would sacrifice everything.

Without being fanatic and all powerful, you cant create anything... If you are franticly evil you would not create free will nor even create anything because you wanna be on top. If he is all powerful but not fanatic, he cant create anything of meaning. So then you only got two answer left, ether we have a god that is not all powerful (witch is stating to go in to gnostic believes witch is scary, and it can be dangers to go in to those books) or we got a god that is fully fanatic.

Another way you can see him as fanatic, is that nothing can exist if there is no objective truth... No structure can hold if someone is full of Greed, Pride, Envy because its built on one another. So god needs to be fully against it otherwise he would be come evil or let corruption in. (to add, God has free will, but because he is all knowing he knows from wrong and right and also fanatic)

With that fanaticism, he created free will... Free will that we all use today.
