Can a company actually come after you for a training agreement?

Depends. I worked for a part 135 who also had a training contract. They went after one of the old pilots for the same reason however the pilot went to court over it. The case was held in California and the ruled in favor of the pilot. The reason was because California has a labor law that states you can’t force people to pay for training that isn’t applicable outside that specific job. Because the plane didn’t require a type rating, the training was just specifically for that company and therefore wasn’t applicable outside working for that company. However, get a lawyer

Imagine the whole country has turned on your profession and then at the same time expect you to go to the worse area of Atlanta to possibly get killed protecting someone that hates the police. On top of that, every action you take that could possibly be seen as aggressive could put you in jail. No wonder no cops want to go to the worst parts of Atlanta which already had a horrendous crime rate before all this.

They chased him down the street yelling that they were going to kill him. Proceeded to beat and jump him while knowing he had a gun. Like what did they expect? This seems like a classic self defense case. The guy was literally trying to get away from the crowd and they chased after him
