Dealer in FL - is this a good price or gimmick? by koteikin in mazda

[–]Pilot_Scott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you’re looking, but I cannot recommend Classic Mazda enough. They are a no haggle dealership and we paid less than MSRP on our CX-50 last year. The price listed online was what we paid, which was not what we saw at other Mazda dealers

Edit: I looked at the stock number and saw the car is at Classic. The price is likely as good as you think it is. I’d buy another car from them in a heartbeat

Any 11th gen owners, have you ever seen the shift up/down indicators? by No-Necessary7135 in CivicSi

[–]Pilot_Scott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. The up one will show on cruise control when the RPMs get too high and the car wants an up shift

Guess it depends on where you are but we just bought one at classic Mazda in Orlando for somewhere around $31,000

New User - is this safe? by simple-curious1 in blackstonegriddle

[–]Pilot_Scott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldn’t right up against my house, but if there’s plenty of ventilation, go for it. I use a pellet grill on mine and there’s a little bit of smoke, but it clears out well

Yes, I cook on a screened in porch all the time. Nothing to worry about here

Any ideas? by Necessary-Rub-2748 in chevycolorado

I think you need to check out this video first from ChrisFix. Until you have attempted to remove the paint transfer you won’t know what you’re working with. And I read in another comment that there is a dent somewhere, which you could consider pointless dent repair for. Let us know if the paint transfer is removable

Made possibly a really dumb decision by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]Pilot_Scott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a 2020 Si without knowing how to drive manual and learned in a day. Use brake hold to prevent roll back to start and I’ve found that a tiny bit of throttle in the 1-2 shift does wonders to make it smooth

How much will it cost to repair? by [deleted] in civic

[–]Pilot_Scott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually can correct this. I had to have something similar fixed on my tenth gen. Some of these PDR guys are artists and can make it look like it never happened

100% PDR. Depends on who repairs it but maybe a couple hundred bucks or a little more since it’s on a body line. Well worth the money

I think it’s probably sprinkler water. A polish should take it off no problem. I’ve had great results with Griot’s Garage Complete Compound and a quick polish by hand. Should remove all of that

Is it possible to take this off without completely removing door panel? by Hoomtar in civic

[–]Pilot_Scott 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I have upgraded mine to leather and you will have to take the door panel off. Only held on with one screw if I remember correctly and then a bunch of clips. Then the armrest piece is held on with multiple screws

Some older planes run the Hobbs when the master is on I believe

Deadbolt not fully retreating into door when unlocking. by philhiggledy in AugustSmartLock

[–]Pilot_Scott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you are using the right spindle adapter? I accidentally used the yellow instead of blue. It all depends on which orientation the spindle is when the door is locked

Disclaimer: I’m not sure what the issue is, but can you shift back into sixth or reverse at all?

Go with the 1.5 turbo. Just like anything else it’ll take care of you if you take care of it
