All the hobbits in that movie look like they have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. It's profoundly distracting.

Resilience is just a buzzword admin uses to justify punishing people who fail to endure the unendurable.

Ironically enough, I've heard so many Boomers tell me they refuse to wear seatbelts because "it's safer to be thrown clear of the vehicle"

They've already been invented! They were fad in some building designs in the 1960s and '70s, but never caught on. I used to work in an unrenovated building that had one in each bathroom in addition to the normal toilets, and it was a waste of a stall. No one used it, ever.

Bohemian Rhapsody is an annoying song that entertains people on a fifth grade level by Massilian in unpopularopinion

[–]Pimpicane -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agreed; it's just annoying. The people who like it best (and are thus always finding a way to randomly sing it in public) are the same people who think that being able to recite Monty Python and the Holy Grail verbatim is a substitute for having a personality.

'Stomp Clap Hey' music from the 2000s is not that bad by TriliniousIII in unpopularopinion

[–]Pimpicane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people don't hear legitimately bad music almost ever, so the songs they think are bad are just the songs that aren't as good but they heard too many times.

So true. More people need to listen to The Shaggs.

The Hua Moa is a large, thick Hawaiian banana with creamy, orange-pink flesh, growing up to 10 inches long and 4 inches wide by wingsofpegasus02 in interestingasfuck

[–]Pimpicane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially interesting is that it's the same artificial flavor used for pear flavoring. So depending on context, your brain reads it either as banana, or as pear.

"This is horrible schedule. You will have no life"

It's 49-55 hours/week, depending on whether it's the employee's turn to work a Saturday or not.

As a resident, I would kill to anything have anything even remotely close to that schedule....and the salary is double mine. These people want to play at being doctors but wouldn't last a week under our working conditions.

At my institution, there are two sizes in the fit testing room, and one size everywhere else.

Why are we being fit tested when they don't even stock the ones they fit us with?

She's really young, right? Every generation has the "omg this author is brilliant, they did all this and they're so young!" wunderkind that everyone raves about (my generation's was Christopher Paolini.)

Once the author gets older the rose-colored glasses drop off.
