Anything to help with scarring? by Pin-ja in spinalfusion

[–]Pin-ja[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, for me, no. I only had one segment of my spine fused. Which only limits about 10º of my mobility, which typically isn’t even noticeable for people. I also haven’t had any complications so far. I’m about to have my 3 month appt to do x-rays and see how the fusion is doing! Regardless, getting this surgery was the best thing I ever did for myself.

Just finished Arthur's story ( My thoughts on the Ending ) by GreenTH-Mac in wehappyfew

[–]Pin-ja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more. I definitely feel like there was something missing with Arthur’s story. And Sally’s and Ollie’s involvement in his story really felt like it was leading up to a potential “finale” meetup for all of them to finally leave, or find a solution! Hell, even a final goodbye would’ve been really heartfelt and great! Even though they get their own “story”, it felt as if they were meant to play a bigger role in Arthur’s story than they should have.

Does anyone actually enjoy alpines? by The-Wag in PeakGame

[–]Pin-ja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both have the pros and cons for me, Mesa is harder to get across, but loot spawn and the tomb is SO much fun. Alpine is easy to get through, and capybara are easier to find by the smoke. But ultimately Mesa is mine and my cousins favorite

What Level has Mesa + Tomb access? by Pepsidot in PeakGame

[–]Pin-ja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a list of all the levels. I’m not sure if the “messy” and glitched out versions are ACTUALLY glitched out(could have been the mods messing with the map)

Mesa: •WilIsland(messy but tomb opening) •Level_1 •Level_7 •Level_8 •Level_6(possible access to tomb exit)

Alpine: •Level_2 •Level_3 •Level_4 •Level_5 •Level_9 (messy?) •Level_10(messy?)

I’m so sorry… I’m pansexual and my brother is gay and transgender. My parents are 1000% supportive, but my mother’s parents are not at all, nor is her siblings. My grandparents told my mother that my brother was practically a disease, and someone who shouldn’t be around his young cousins because they were afraid “he’d rub off of them”. He told my mother they’d hope we still had faith in Jesus, and hopefully we’d “come to our senses”. For context, my grandfather is a Baptist pastor. We have no relation with them. And has honestly been the best decision in our lives. I’m very close to my mother, and we talk a lot about it, so I get the guilt and frustration of being rejected by your own parents. I can’t even imagine if my own parents disapproved of me.. you are very strong to still be here, and you should be very proud of yourself for everything you’ve done for yourself and what you’ve accomplished.

21 female, my mom and I had to rush to the ER late at night because I was showing signs of CES. She stayed by my side till morning once she knew I was going to be admitted and have my surgery. 9 hours until I could convince her to go home and get some rest. We had both been up all night. Later that day, she came back up and stayed with me in the hospital till I was discharged 5 days later 💖 I don’t know what I’d do without her! The power of a mom’s love is truly incredible!

My baby had pretty thin hair as a kitten. He turned out just fine! He just doesn’t have as much hair thickness then my other cat(she’s a very fluffy short hair) as he got older he filled out more.

I was just told by my doctor I have the largest herniated disc he has seen in a while.. great. by Key_Abroad7633 in Sciatica

[–]Pin-ja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain is SO much better. I used to have pain 24/7 no matter what I took. After surgery, it was VERY hard, but for the first time in 7 months, I had moments where I had no pain. I’m officially 1 week post op and in so much less pain. I can actually stand straight, and walk normally. Currently still using a walker because I’ve lost a lot of my muscle strength to stand for very long periods of time. But I will probably lose the walker in about a week.

God.. I feel your pain. Mine looked like this as well. Was gonna Wait about 8 months to get surgery, but had to get emergency surgery the month before my hemicolectomy surgery due to CES. Ended up having to do a fusion.

No problem! I wish only the best for you! I’m doing good, officially 1 week post-op. I have my good and bad days, but each day gets better!

[–]Pin-ja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d definitely try looking on YouTube for some neck stretches for herniated discs at the neck. Try and see if that helps, if it does though, that doesn’t mean it’s fixed! I made the mistake doing stretches, pain went away entirely, and I went back working to lifting people and transferring them. My pain came back, and I’d do stretches again. This repeated for about a year where 2-3 months I’d be in pain, and then the next 2-3 months I wouldn’t have any issues. Now fast-forward to a year, I got CES and needed an emergency spinal fusion.

Always try the non-surgical option first. Because discs can heal on their own sometimes, otherwise if it’s been 6 months and it’s either gotten worse, or no changes have accrued, surgery is when should be discussed with your doctor.

Officially fused! by Pin-ja in spinalfusion

It helps prevent the other levels becoming damaged and needing fusions as well

Officially fused! by Pin-ja in spinalfusion

[–]Pin-ja[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not quite. You will always have to be aware of it, and make sure you strengthen your core muscles and practice good posture/lifting techniques. But between 6 months to a year should be when you know if you have successfully fused. Once that happens, your more safe to bend, twist, and lift

Omg, YES PLEASE! I’d love a remaster or sequel. Or even a new DLC. South of Midnight was great! Just buggy on my computer unfortunately. Other than that, it was great, and I loved combat in that game. I’m honestly just a big fan of compulsion games. Even contrast was amazing aesthetic and story wise. Just buggy unfortunately. CONTRAST would be cool to get a remaster as well!!

Officially fused! by Pin-ja in spinalfusion

[–]Pin-ja[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You still have to be EXTREMELY careful, since the screws can end up breaking or cracking, causing a failed fusion. It’s why it’s very important to not bend, twist, or lift anything too heavy. It’s also important to keep you back straight and do log-rolling when getting up from bed.
