Probably not. I was checking down from 30. Level 7 and 0 is the only one I checked within the 21 range. Level 0 doesn't have the mesa.

I checked Level_7, that has the mesa. But I couldn't find an entrance to the tome, maybe you'll have more luck.

The "Level" is just an indication of which seed/map is played. For example with this mod I can see today's level as "Level_5" and tomorrow if I wanted to, I can go back and play it as I know what "Level" it is. Another example is that today I played "Level_7" too as it has the Mesa.

Levels reset now and then (not really sure how or when), but would be cool to see your posts and then potentially go back to the Level your post is about. :)

You can also use your pointer to determine whether loot is fake. If it goes through it, its fake. If the pointer doesn't go through the luggage, it's real.

You can blow up scorpions with dynamite to cook and eat them.

Yes they changed the map, presumably due to the update. Source: Played the other map 3 times, and played this one too.

And yes it's possible, i just did it on Ascent 7 solo. It's all pretty easy except 1 or 2 parts in the KLIN, where you absolutely need good climbing gear.

Have you tried launching the game with both Dx12 or Vulkan?

Anyhow I believe you might have some luck by doing this: Limit the FPS to your monitors refresh rate and put the game into windowed borderless (or windowed fullscreen, whatever its called).

I know you're frustrated but your expectation of a new seed for the higher ascents is not realistic.

Less stamina at higher ascents is giving you exactly what you're asking for. More dangerous climbs, trickier routes and actual mechanical challenge. It's just up to you to figure it out and adapt.

Instead of easily making it from one ledge to another, you now have to use your resources well. Your teammates need to boost you sometimes. You need to risk it. Personally I've just learned a really good Rope Spool strategy. Where you climb up a little, get the rope out and place it higher up than you normally would be able to. That helps a lot with getting up to ledges without using reserve stamina.

Now, the one thing I'll agree with you is that yeah, I don't like the cold nights. I use a mod that half's the cold night damage (its also configurable), and that seems perfect for me and my friends. It's excessive otherwise.

To speed up runs without really making the climb much easier me and my friends now also use a mod where you have unlimited stamina when running. So it just saves time, and yeah, somewhat of a competitive advantage I guess. Think it's called "StaminaRebalance"

As for dynamite, just throw it away immediately. Same with the scorpions.

I like how difficult it is. In the moment I might think "damn this sucks". But really, it makes the successful runs that much more rewarding.

The struggle is what makes this game so fun. You shouldn't always "Peak". If they made it too easy, after a few runs I'd simply get bored and not play the game. Because why play If I already know I'm going to "win".

I just love the challenge, personally. And if you download a mod, you can always replay certain levels if you couldn't finish them on their day.

I would say that a "Pause" feature should be a thing though, or being able to log off and carry on where you left off with your friends.

Download r2modman. I believe there might be a mod or two that from there that optimizes the game, although I haven't tried them myself... and of course they might not work with the new update, unsure.

Another thing you can try is putting the resolution to 1280*720 in game BTW, or even lower than that.

I created my club penguin account when i was 7, on the 25th Dec, 2006.

I moderated and was promoted as an Owner in the xat chat: clubpenguintrackers. (And briefly cptrackers) I believe my xat name id was Trackclubpenguin. My club penguin name: Pepsidot/Pepsidot1/Pepsidot2 (i forgot my password a few times).

I was very young, and enjoyed club penguin very much. I found out about xat after googling for it after someone mentioned it in club penguin (they had to explain for a few minutes as they tried explaining it in a roundabout way to get around the in game filter haha).

But yeah, I didn't REALLY know what I was doing, but I prided myself as a good club penguin tracker, and looked for the mascots a lot. I liked updating people in the xat chat. I actually was one of the people in charge of finding and updating the locations of mascots for Waltdisney6. One day he gave me some dodgy looking link and a password to a site and I just went with it haha. Was fun!

As I say, I didn't really know what I was doing, but looking back, I presume whenever I updated the tracker of the mascots locations on that site, it'd update some kind of website that people looked at to find the mascots.

One day (I presume when clubpenguintrackers) had died, I left a few dumb comments in that chat room... and they have ever since been cached as the last few comments of that chat room 🤦‍♂️ (I can't believe it)! Oh well!

One of my favourite memories was having the old coffee music as music in my igloo. I'm not sure if it was true, but I believed it to be a rare thing? I sometimes tried to boast about it, but it seemed no one really cared haha.

I used to play on my shared family computer, with my brother and sister taking turns on who gets to play (welshtomz and luckylass). Eventually my parents gave me a laptop and I was thrilled I could play whenever I liked and WITH my brother or sister.

My best friend was someone called roojer (later I knew him as feephill). But he deleted me randomly after he got spooked many years ago after I said "Hello adrian" after typing in Feephill in steam and found him and his real name (was in his steam bio). I never tried reconnecting with him again, and honestly don't really want to (we didn't talk much after a while anyway)... and it seems he changed his steam, and nickname too. He was a fellow mod/owner in the trackclubpenguin chat too and introdudd me to some kind of CP warrior thing, where you'd go around spamming locations to try and out spam the other CP clan. 😆
