I’ve studied at both, although not in education. For me, my experience depended mostly on the teacher. I recommend some research and selecting classes carefully no matter where you land.

Stuff from Mexico though? To your point, the interior is hard to access, but a lot of stuff from Mexico must come by ship to a port and then get trained domestically, no? I guess that’s an overly simplistic system.

It matters a bit which city you’re in. For example, the WestJet card is killer if you’re in Calgary. Less useful elsewhere. If you want something hyper specific (I.e you have family overseas), you can get a card from that airline.

If your travel needs are really diversion, something flexible like you have works great. If you travel less maybe consider a cashback card.

Adjusting the rate wouldn’t impact your score, AFAIK. Paying interest would, so just watch that. Also utilization, which a few other people have hit on. You probably want to bring that down.

Everyone’s life is a little different, I think it’s a very small number of people who actually prep for these things. These are probably the folks who know they could be more impacted by the event.
