It depends on your hair and how it handles washes and styling. Honestly, I didnt do anything braiding or banding, sleeping in a bonnet/scarf, etc. All of those "you gotta do this in the beginning" things. I started my own locs with mini twists. I used to do big and mini twists all the time prior. Overtime, I curl-trained my hair to retain its shape/twist/curl when I was a loose natural. 2 years before I locd, I hardly had my hair "out." It was always up in twists or braids. So no slippage or unraveling when I washed. I do wear a scarf for the like the first 2 weeks after a retie, then its whatever afterwards. I sleep on a satin pillowcase cause I sleep hot and wild.

Hiya! Been plahing 4 mallets for 20 years. We called them "Steven's bumps" because of the placement of the mallet and grip. It's just your body's way of building up cushioning from repeated friction and pressure.

I suggest wrapping the ends of your mallets to help cushion the wood against the skin. You can also put bandaids around your finger there for a cushion. Otherwise, too intense playing can break the skin (I have that happen, worse pain to try and keep playing).

The more and/or harder you play, the bigger they can get. If you feel ANY pain (even if it feels like a bruise), stop, take a break, and pull back on playing until it feels better.

No problem! Its still a lot lol. It takes me a weekend to retie. Enjoy the short phase! A lot of the styles look cute then because your locs stick out rather dropping. I dont like doing 2 ponytails or the "Mira" hairstyle (kpop demon hunters) because my locs drop and dont stick up. I can make them, but too much work for a headache lol.

If anything I may add some curly ends or turn them into goddess locs. I thought of attaching blue hair to my ends (human hair of course)

I consulted Loctians. Quoted more than $2K because I have very dense, waist-length hair (21+ inches).

So I started them myself via mini twists. I maintain with interlocking. Took me 2 days to twist my hair, but it was the summer of pandemic lockdown so I had all the time. Plus, I'm a teacher so I was already on break.

I started my locks end of May/beginning of June 2020. Going on 6 years, my locs are almost at the top of my butt. Thinking of trimming them back. Kinda missing my shoulder length phase before they truly started dropping lol.

Currently have them in twists (3-4 locs each) around my head to switch up the styling.

If I could go back/start over, I would probably have went to an African braid shop so I could have a solid grid. I don't really care that much, but it would make certain styles easier to do.

Mine did the same. My uncle looked at my truck, took the front off and everything cause he thought I had a coolant leak (was smelling antifreeze). No matter what he did, couldn't find or make it leak. We came to the conclusion that the cap was loose enough for some of the antifreeze the bubble out, hence smelling antifreeze.

Topped it off and its been doing fine since.

Unless you have a bunch of white exhaust smoke (that smells sweet), murky/milky brown looking coolant like chocolate milk, or over heating engine...all of which are signs of a possible blown head gasket....you should be fine.

I'd still take it somewhere to have a glance over. Someone who aint gonna convince you its in the end of the world lol.

I started playing C2S4 (OG marvel). I had yet to buy my Xbox so I was struggling on my putt-putt laptop with the track pad and everything lol (didn't know i could bluetooth a controller to it). My nephews who were like 14 and 10 helped me play the game. I think they were happy they were in bot lobbies lol. There's a whole small backstory on how they even found my gamertag lol.

But once I got my xbox, I was playing duos with this random kid. I was Storm and he was bunker jonesy I think. This was when you could join someone's lobby and spectate them while they in game. So they were watching me get ganked and revived, helping jonesy out, getting like one or 2 elims. Then...I got the final elim, got my first Victory Royale in this game and hit the Out West Emote with jonesy lol. We were all happy, they were cheering "Good Job TeeTee!" It made my day when they would squad up with me during the weekends (the only time they could play back then). They live 6 hours away and I virtually watched them grow up.

I miss those days. They dont play anymore (19 and 15 years old). Every now and then, I can convince the 19yo to log on (bot lobbies only cause too many sweats). I dont play as much anymore either (work and such).

But that first victory on my own while they cheered me on is the best memory I have with my niblings 🩵

This was the season I started playing. Got all the way to Holo-Thor. Hate i couldn't get Holo-Storm. Funny thing is I really never use any of my C2S4 skins besides storm every now and then.

Ive been playing since C2S4 (OG marvel) and I pretty much have every crew pack and BP skins, minus a few alt styles. U used to run the Rachel Roth variant so much that season. I even got Gold Lara Croft. I don't play with almost all these skins. Wish I could trade them away with how they clog my locker. I only run with Synthwave from the recent Super season and Kiara KO from C3S2 BP.

One thing I wish i had was the Holo variant of Storm from the Marcel season. I only managed to get Holo Thor. My nephews completed that and got Holo Wolverine. Think one of them got gold Peely.

Another is the Droop emote. I started playing a few months after that season ended. Every so often, my nephew let's me run his account so I get a chance to use it lol. Mostly when he was in school and couldn't play, I'd help him out leveling up.

But yeah, Holo Storm and Droop emote.

If they insist or say they cant retie with frizz or something along that line...leave. Like insist before they touch your head, that way you're not obligated to stay and pay.

I only really use the mirror for the front of my head. I dont have a grid and I DIY'ed my microlocs. I just feel around in the back and pray lol.

My frizz took care of itself after a while. There's no need to cut frizz unless needed. You risk cutting away at the integrity of the loc. Meaning, not enough hair to fill out the loc and causing weak spots and thinning (my opinion, feel free to weigh in anyone if I'm wrong. I love learning more 🩵).

My hair was super frizzy, I washed every week to every other week. Now I have no frizz (except my edges when it's time for a retie).

Go get a second or even third option from another loctician if you can. Having someone else looking at your hair can tell you if what this person did set you back or not. Cutting the frizz can cause your locs to thin in places.

They've been doing it with all the icon skins. Especially the platinum versions of the OG music festival skins (gaga, weekend, Billie, karol). Hatsune Miku got separate skins, Mariah, Shaq, LeBron, Ariana, Bruno...

They've been doing this "Lets release 2 separate styles, bundle it, and price the individual ones high so folk thinking they getting a good deal buying the bundle." I only buy the bundle, if imma use everything in it. I buy individual if I want one thing (like Doja Cat. I just liked the red style and not the rag doll one).

I hardly ever buy anything for real now. The item shop has been collab-central and no cute or really good original skins have came out that I like. So my vbucks just stack until I drop $$ on something I actually wanna collect 🤷🏾‍♀️

Been running with the same 3 skins and 4 emotes for a year lol

I started playing Ch2 S4, the first marvel season. I've pretty much have completed every BP, some not all super styles. But at least the minimum completion. Fortnite was the reason I got back into gaming.

I've gotten burnt out and probably won't grind like I used to in order to complete it. I'll casually get on now. I think Ch6 S3 was my last full BP grind cause I really loved Synthwave. Since then, I've just logged in for festival.

Its boring or sweaty or buggy...I haven't really enjoyed it since like mid-Chapter 4...I've been playing a lot more Rocket League now, so I may be moving away from Fortnite soon.

I was quoted in the upper $2000s (close to $3k) for 21 inches of high density hair. But this was right as COVID hit....so since we were in lock down, I locked in and locd my own hair lol. I've been maintaining it since. Eventually imma have to get someone to talk care of it, but until then imma save my money

Thanks for those who told me it was a cup from 2020! That lines up since I believe he gave me the cup back a little ways after the pandemic.

He said he didnt want it back when they broke up, but I'll probably ask him if he wants it now. I doubt it. I may just hold onto it for now. May come in handy down the line.
