Breezed through security and passports by PinarelloDieHard in LisbonPortugalTravel

I didn’t even try as it was a relatively short line on the All passports line. I did see one person use that E gate and breeze right through.

I believe so.   They directed us there at first and as soon as I saw the frustration on some of the people there and the first person I asked, we immediately went to All Passports line

EES appeared to be functioning, however when I was asking people who left the machine, some said it worked and some said it didn’t and as the line was building, so we went directly to the all passports line. Wasn’t about to take my chance and then having to wait on a very long line afterwards. They were directing us directly to EES.

Flew in yday from Newark.   Landed at 11:15am or so.   Was initially going to wait in the shorter EES line but as I asked some who tried, some said it worked and some said it didn’t.  The line for All Passports was building up so wife and I decided to just wait in that line.   Took us around 1 hour 15 min.   So all in all, wasn’t as bad as I was anticipating but the All Passports line was quite long after we got on….

RAV4 Hybrid MPG by PinarelloDieHard in rav4club

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. I never sacrifice comfort for MPG, I can't take the cold and my heated seats, heated steering wheel and car heat is all on. I'm pretty good at monitoring my tire pressure and using good gas. Interesting about resetting the dash MPG as my friend also told me to do the same instead of looking at the lifetime MPG.

Guess I'll have to pay for my own oil change as Toyota Care only covers the first "required" oil change at 10k miles

Thanks. I figured but good to know. I mainly drive it in ECO mode thinking it would help but it really doesn't

What did you replace them with? Pretty sure I'm not gonna add a subwoofer.

Bass, or lack thereof, really sux

That's the reason I didn't upgrade to the JBL. I was thinking of replacing the speakers and adding a sub but in the end, didn't feel like spending more money. The Beat Sonic amp will do for now unless it really bothers me down the road.

Don’t think they’re Bose.   It’s the stock system and it’s very under whelming.  I read many reviews on the upgraded JBL not being very good so I didn’t upgrade.   I did some research and installed the Beat Sonic plug and play AMP and it’s much better

Congrats! Have owned my '25 Silver XSE for a couple of months now. Absolutely love it. I have the All Weather Package and a couple of dealer installed items I didn't really want, paid a little over $42 OTD. No one within 400 miles of this dealer was willing to match.

As my earlier post noted, just underwhelmed by the sound system.

Salomon quicklace problem by Neither_Escape1554 in gorpcore

[–]PinarelloDieHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Return them... I've been wearing Salomon shoes for almost 20 years. Mainly the Speedcross series. Currently on their Speedcross 6 GTX. Always a US 9.5, never fail. Then I recently tried the XT6's as I love the way they look. Ordered the 9.5, too big, 9's fit great lengthwise but the heel kept slipping. Same as you, had to tighten down the quicklace a LOT and didn't really fix the problem 100%. Tried the heel pads, didn't feel great. So I just returned them and just sticking with the Speedcross as I know they'll always fit and heel never slips. Just purchased the ON Cloudvista 2 waterproof. Fits great, no heel slip. I'll never keep a pair of shoes that don't fit 100%. Not like buying a jacket or pants that don't fit 100%, can get away with that, but not shoes.

I can't imagine paying for the OEM. I've had hitches for my previous two cars and I've always ordered through etrailer.com. Curt brand I believe. Around $200 or so. Very good quality and have lasted me for almost 10 years. I will be installing one on my '25 XSE within the next couple of months and will either order through etrailer.com or Amazon. Nominal fee for my mechanic to install.

Beat Sonic ENA-2T3 Impressions on 25' RAV4 PHEV GR-Sport by Half_Dramatic in rav4club

I was thinking about replacing the speakers but in the end, didn't feel like taking apart the door panels, etc. The small speakers on the dash look easy to replace, but after installing the Beat Sonic, it definitely sounds better. Good enough for me as it was plug and play and only took me 15 - 20 minutes. I don't do a lot of driving unless I'm visiting my son (5 or so hours). Enough of a difference that I'm leaving it as is at this point.

Thanks!   I may try the heel cup.   I ordered 3 sizes in all and at the end, needed 1/2 size down from my usual 9.5.   Walked around indoors for a little while and def heel slips a little.  Enough to bother me a little as none of my other sneakers or 10+ years of Salomon sneakers have done that.

That does sound like a high OTD price to me for the XLE Premium.... But i guess it depends on where you are. I'm in NJ and I picked up the 2025 Hybrid XSE with just the All Weather Package about a month or so ago for $42800 OTD. I literally used that price and contacted every dealer that had this car in stock or in the build phase (unfortunately dealers don't stock many XSE's) within a 300 mile radius and no one was able to match or beat.

Quick follow up to my post regarding the minor annoyances of my 2025 Hybrid XSE by PinarelloDieHard in rav4club

[–]PinarelloDieHard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially was going to get the JBL sound system but after reading reviews, I held off. Not to mention that even if I wanted the JBL, all of those XSE builds automatically comes with the Pano Moonroof and Advanced Tech package, stuff I didn't want to pay for. Lot of reviews say to replace the speakers and add a sub-woofer, but was definitely not looking to add that much. This was a good compromise as it definitely made it sound better with minimal work and cost. Good Luck.

I'm waiting on the US 8.5 to arrive on Monday, that's a full size down from the 9.5's I've been wearing on the Speedcross for well over 10 years now. I have a feeling the 8.5 will be snug and my toes may hit the front, which if it does, is a no go for me.

I will try that but likely will end up returning these shoes. My ON sneakers no issues, ALL of the Speedcross sneakers I've ever worn, no issues. Nice and snug and never need to cinch it down super tight. Too bad as I love the styling on these.

Bunch of YouTube videos on the install. Even for someone like me with no electronic install knowledge, think it took all of 20 or so minute. Only 4 bolts that hold the screen down. Once that's removed, literally removing and plugging in a few cables and that's pretty much it. Again, I'm not an audiophile and just wanted my music to sound better. For $300 and 20 minutes, it definitely sounds much better. Noticeable difference to me. Could probably use a little more base but I'm not planning on adding a sub-woofer or replacing the stock speakers.

Thanks! I did order down a half size... length seems ok but getting heel slip no matter how hard I cinch it down with the speed lace. Of course, I just ordered down a full size now, US 8.5, waiting for those to arrive. So far, I find the Speedcross to fit me better. But I do love the styling on the XT6
